Chances of getting accepted in UST

Chances of getting accepted in UST

My friend sent me this ss and she's asking what are the chances of being an accepted waitlister if you have these scores? Do you guys think na she have a low chance? We're both waitlisted but she has lower scores than mine and she's worried na baka d kami makasabay this year. Are there any students here na accepted who had 6-7 scores? Huhu d kase siya mapakali 🥲

Is it really hard to have a part time job while being a shs student?

(Not sure if i used the correct flair, lmk nalang)

I've openly told my parents i wanna have a part time once i'm already in SHS because i wanna have my own money and buy things on my own, but they always say that time management is hard and that i might lose focus on school. Fyi, i'm planning to study either in UST & UE, i'm not entirely sure if i'm gonna get accepted sa UST but i'm hoping i would. Some student say na maraming pinapagawa sa UST? Is it really true? Are there any part time shs students here na nagistudy sa UST? Is it really that hard and draining? I wanna have experiences rin kase

The "apology" for Eunseok's controversy is an absolute joke.

(I'm not sure if i used to correct flair but if not lmk)

I’m genuinely losing my mind of how people are downplaying this. It’s 2026—why are we still out here acting like a grown man doesn't understand the weight of his own actions? This isn't some "innocent mistake". He knew exactly what he was doing.

The stuff coming out about what he called himself when he was younger is beyond weird. It’s not just a "phase", it points to a much deeper issue with how he views Black and tan skinned people. If that’s the foundation he’s coming from, what do you think his actual mindset is now?

What’s even more revolting is seeing black fans get absolutely jumped and harassed by these racist "defenders" just for having the audacity to speak up. It’s honestly sick. People are literally normalizing racism just to protect the image of their dada who wouldn't even look twice at them. Watching fans silence the very community he offended is a new level of disgusting.

It’s also pathetic how selective people are being. We’ve seen other groups get dragged through the mud for way less, yet because it’s their dada once again, suddenly everyone wants to play the "don't make it a big deal" card. Accountability isn’t an option. If you’re more upset about the hate he’s getting than the actual racism he displayed, you are part of the problem.

Lowkey katseye fumbled their own hype

I genuinely feel like katseye had insane potential to become the next huge global girl group, but somewhere along the way their direction started feeling way too focused on “viral tiktok moments” instead of building a strong identity. When they first started getting attention, there was actual hype because people saw them as talented, and different from the usual manufactured pop groups. I was so close into stanning them

But then the musical direction started shifting into these super “brainrot", meme-baity tiktok songs like “Gnarly" and it just felt like they traded long-term artistry for short-term virality. Instead of building a solid discography people would replay for years, they leaned too hard into songs designed to trend for 15 seconds on tiktok. And yeah, maybe it gets attention fast but it also makes people stop taking the group seriously.

What makes it worse is that the members themselves actually have talent. That’s why it feels frustrating. Nobody says they can’t sing, dance, or perform. The issue is more the branding and management decisions. They had this rare chance to bridge K-pop style training with Western mainstream success, and it feels like the company underestimated how important image consistency and media training are for a global audience.

And speaking of media training… I think that’s also part of why public perception shifted so fast. Early on people were hyping them because they seemed fresh and charismatic. But lately every viral clip I see like when they were invited to Jimmy fallon's show or livestream moments turns into discourse. Not even hate necessarily, but people constantly criticizing how they joke around, or present themselves publicly. Sometimes it comes off awkward, overly chaotic, or just unprepared.

The internet is brutal with girl groups too. Once people sense cringe or messiness, they run with it HARD. Especially on tiktok where public opinion changes overnight. One week everyone’s calling a group the future of pop, then suddenly every post about them becomes thinkpieces and clips getting dragged in the comments.

What’s frustrating is that I honestly still think the potential is there. The members themselves aren’t the problem. If they had stronger creative direction, better song selection, and tighter media coaching from the start, I really think kataeye could’ve been chart-dominating right now instead of constantly fighting allegations online 😭 Also this is not a hate post about them, even if Gnarly went viral, i just feel like they should've just stick with releasing songs like Touch or Gabriela

I’m facing a lot of issues with my skin right now and I’m really hoping to have a total glow-up before the year ends. I’ve noticed a few things lately that are driving me crazy, so if anyone has experienced this or has tips, please help🙏

  1. Why is my face darker than my hands? I don't go out much after SY ended, but they aren't matching at all. I do sleep super late (2 am–4 am) and I’ll admit I don’t use an umbrella when walking home after class. Could that be the cause? I used to have really pale skin and I have no idea what happened.

  2. How do I fix patchy makeup? I have dry skin. I use Issy’s skin stick for light days and Uodo foundation for heavy makeup. It’s not patchy everywhere, but it’s really bad between my eyebrows. I’m a bit hairy so I tried dermaplaning, but it didn't actually help. My skincare routine in case anyone's wondering: Arencia Rice Mochi Cleanser (pink) for removing makeup, Centella Ampoule Foam for regular use, Centella toning toner, Centella tone brightening capsule ampoule, and the originote Hyalucera (morning), Brightening (night) moisturizers. Any skincare products or anything that can help with this?

  3. My undertone is different. This is the weirdest part, my left and right arms look like they have different undertones. Left looks cool, right looks warm. How do I even figure out which one I actually am?

  4. My skin looks very textured, especially under makeup and around my nose. My only skin prep is moisturizer and sunscreen. Is there something I'm missing?

  5. Idk if this is related but does anyone know how to make nose tape less visible under foundation? I see cosplayers on tiktok making it look invisible, but mine always stands out.

If you’ve dealt with any of this, how did you fix it? Thank you so much

Hihi! Just wanted to check in and see if there are other incoming SHS students who are still stuck on "Waitlisted".

I’ve been seeing a lot of people posting that they’ve already been accepted or that their status has updated??, and the anxiety is starting to kick in. I’m wondering if anyone knows when the next updates usually rolls out for those of us still waiting? Or does it depends?

A bit of context on my stats
I chose business and entrepreneurship for my program. My subtest scores were around the 6–7 range (yeah, I know pretty low). I was on a long vacation and literally only applied for the USTET a week before the deadline, so my review time was basically non-existent.

I’m trying to stay hopeful, but I have a few questions for the seniors or those who already got their results:

  1. For current/past students, how long did you guys actually wait before the portal updated? Is it a weekly thing or just random?

  2. Has anyone actually gotten into the same program as me or any with the same subtest score? I’m worried they might be too low even for the waitlist to move.

  3. Do I even have a realistic shot at this point, or should I start looking seriously at my back up (which is UE, i passed the exam so i don't need to worry)

Wishing everyone the best of luck with their results! Hopefully we all see that "Accepted" status soon

Also, if you’re in the same boat, pleasee drop your program and scores below so we can all overthink together lol.
