No shame here, just asking. Is anyone else’s chiweenie a “foot guy?”
Mine licks my feet all the time. It’s a little weird especially when he doesn’t to wake me up. But that isn’t the only time he does it.
I am looking for someone experienced that is preferably late 20s or older.
I’m currently working in the horror genre BUT I wouldn’t call it traditional horror more just creepy.
I’m looking for someone that I can ask “if main character is at some location does x or y make more sense for them to do?” Things like that.
Also maybe just general brainstorming.
Obviously I would respond in kind
Most of all looking for someone consistent that doesn’t just check Reddit once a week.
If you are interested in this set up, please let me know about yourself and your writing.

Watching true crime in the middle of the night. The narrator just said a couple lived in a two story trailer, like this was a normal thing. I’ve never heard of one or seen one. Google is helping. It isn’t an RV or tiny house from the description the narrator gives (they didn’t show a pic) it sounds like a trailer you’d see that is a permanent home but two stories. What is this? Have you seen one or heard of it?
I took my car in to get repaired. Paid the bill and was told all issues I was concerned about were taken care of. This is a business that’s been there for a while, not somebody’s cousin I met on Craigslist. None of the issues were fixed, that I specifically was concerned about. He told me to bring it back in. I did. Three weeks ago. Now he’s saying a part got delayed in delivery. Is he just leading me on?
I had three pets. A larger dog 15 years old (65 lbs.) named Sport, a tuxedo cat 7.5 years old (I think?) she was a stray named Boop, and a chiweenie 14 years old, 13 lbs. named George.
Their personalities:
Sport: goofy, a klutz, a bit crazy, but definitely what you’d call a “gentle soul.”
Boop: very different than any other cat I’ve ever had, she is a mess, I don’t think she knows she’s a cat, generally preferred not to be around people but would occasionally come and “boop” people with her head.
George: typical small dog syndrome, he is the tyrant of the house, medium energy, doesn’t bark too much unless there is a trigger to make him bark, spoiled.
So, Boop and Sport were best friends. She spent what time she didn’t spend alone with him. George and Sport spent so, so many years together, they were companions but they both did their own thing.
Sport got sick, his last weight was 40 lbs. I don’t want to go into his decline but he passed away naturally on Christmas Eve. George and Boop did not see his body. In their mind I think he just left one day and never came back.
Since Sport died, George and Boop have become too much. Like they are overwhelming. George goes between sleeping all the time to acting out horribly. Boop now comes around people more, which I get, I’m allergic to cats so I just take Zyrtec and use eye drops a lot. She’s tried several times to play with George but George has deeply hated her since they first met. So he just tries to bite her head off.
Boop sits in the kitchen most of the day, fucking things up. There is no other word for it. She knocks everything off the counter, I put things where she can’t get to them, she starts opening the cabinet doors, she is in the sink fucking around with whatever dish or two are in there, she will and always has been able to find something to fuck up.
And George has lost any respect for me. He literally jumps on the couch and tears food out of my hand. He gets one of his toys, outs it in his mouth and proceeded to jump up on on side of the couch, walk the other side jumps down, then repeats 20 times. He spends the better part of an hour looking for crumbs that are non existent. He managed to throw his body between the ottoman and the couch (it’s a sectional with an ottoman) and drop down to the floor. He is all over the place. He actually has managed to get onto my coffee table and he starts knocking over drinks on the floor.
I could go on. But I won’t. Yesterday at the dog park (in which George now no longer plays with other dogs her just sniffs all the urine around the park and this is a sudden change in how he usually is) I met a woman who had to put one of her dogs down in February, and I told her about George sometimes sleeping all the time, like seriously maybe 22 hours a day and she said that’s what her other dog did when she had to have the other one out down and that it was grieving.
Is this behavior all about grief? Or did they just turn into crazy little assholes overnight? If it’s about grief, how can I help them? Getting another pet is not an option.
If you made it this far, thank you for taking the time to read a very long post about a stranger’s pet’s behavior.
So when I started using Reddit regularly (about a month ago) I kept seeing DoorDashDrivers in my feed and I’ve read a lot and learned something’s which have made me a better customer.
I have a question about consequences for drivers. I’ve read about certain things that are bad for the driver (some obvious, some not) like being late, failing to deliver, etc.
What are the things that are bad for drivers that the average customer doesn’t know? Like if someone contacted support and wanted their tip back, does that ding the dasher? If you have to get a substitution in a shopping order, is that a ding? What if the customer doesn’t want a substitution, is that a ding?
Are there different levels of consequences? What is a contract violation? Do people get deactivated from being able to dash fairly easily or does it take a lot of negative things to do that?
Just curious.
I was wondering to myself, if we have “dog people” and “cat people” why do we have other type of animal people. Then I immediately thought about lizards, as some people keep lizard. So I thought, why don’t we have lizard people? And I immediately answered myself in my head by thinking, oh, wait the Illuminati.
He is my 13 year old baby. He found me in the pound when he was almost one and rescued me.
For some reason Reddit thinks I’m a felon, and will NOT stop with this subreddit no matter how many times I hide it. So I’ve decided to embrace it. I won’t comment but I’ll read everything.
So about 5 months ago I got apple cases two times, back to back, $300 each. I knew someone was going to contact me asking for the money back.
Before it got to that point I called Apple support and told them what happened, they transferred me to the bank that deals with Apple Cash and I was told that Apple Cash payments are final and they cannot take the money back anyway except if I send it to them.
Then it happened. Another, random number texted me saying they accidentally sent me $600 and needed it back. They even took a picture of the other phone (the other number) the money had come from showing me that the Apple Cash had been sent to me by “accident.”
Having spoken to Apple earlier and looking online I knew the scam was to get this back then the other number message me saying f the same thing so I’d send more money. Kate and I simply said that I’d never gotten any money and sorry but they must be mistaken.
They just said ok and bye. I left the Apple Cash there for a while then ended up forgetting about the additional funds just sitting there. Long story short I ended up paying a vet bill with it. There were never any problems that came from this, I’ve not been contacted about the moneys origin and nothing has been charged back or disputed.
So what did the scammers get out of this?
I hold a master’s degree in English and am building a professional portfolio in manuscript editing. I offer more than just grammatical corrections—I focus on refining narrative flow, strengthening structure, and collaborating with you to shape your work into the best possible finished manuscript.
I would base my editing rate on the manuscript’s length, complexity, and genre, as well as the level of detail you’d like in the feedback. Since this work would also contribute to my portfolio, I’d keep the price quite low.
I’ve been using word exclusively for writing. Always have. But I noticed a lot of people have specific writing based programs they use. I don’t know anything about writing programs. Can someone or many someone’s tell me what program they use and what the benefits are? I’m thinking about maybe migrating to one. Thank you!
My father was a federal agent. He died 13 years ago, and he did a lot of stuff he couldn’t talk about. He was born in the 20s. I was born when he was 61. Towards the end of my father’s life he would start to tell me about things I’m pretty sure he wasn’t legally allowed to tell me, I’m talking about things to do with a president, undercover operations, a civil rights leader etc. I found out some stuff about my father at his funeral even. We were very close but my dad was someone who only showed you the part of him he wanted you to see. He also kept a lot to himself. My mother knows very little about his life before her (she is his second wife) and there isn’t anyone still living I can try to get details from.
I looked up what information I could get from the freedom of information act about a former federal agent and it isn’t much. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could find out more about my father? And yes I’ve already tried google.
