WHY DOES NOBODY PLAY SPLATOON!?

Not the usual saltoon rants, but I'm so sad splatoon is considered as niche and a "babies game" despite being well known and heavily marketed. I literally see no fans outside of subreddits or forums, posts or videos specifically catered to Splatoon content.

It would have been great if it entered e-sports territory outside of Japan or parts of the Westerns. Where I am from nobody — even Nintendo switch players don't touch it or know of it, they just dismiss it as a niche kid's game when truthfully it has one of the best and most unique mechanics an FPS shooter can give (and competitive levels are sweaty as hell if you ask me).

I just have deep love for this game, everything about it is perfect to me despite being frustrating as fuck most of the times. I would genuinely love to be competitive. It's also one of the FPS communities that isn't as heavily misogynistic or toxic compared to military or political heavy games.. which for fucks sakes give me a break those themes has already been regurgitated a hundred times, I don't get the obsession over macho heavy games. I get that everyone has personal tastes but those same kids would probably call you childish to be even playing Splatoon.

I never knew how fun blasters were!

No wonder they're used so often in ranked matches

I feel like I'm constantly.. stuck.

Why are the majority of my pets considered HTT? I literally, for the life of me cannot find upgrades for any of them or my neons. I feel like quitting as trading doesn't seem enjoyable anymore.

If anyone would like to help me upgrade, I would appreciate it

Request of Appeal in Courses — how does it work?

Hello! I was lucky enough to be accepted in DLSU as an undergraduate, I've always wanted to be a lasallian.

However I did not get my priority course which directly correlates to my aspiring career. My father is adamant about strictly going to that course. I sent a formal and polite email to admission.requirements@dlsu.edu.ph as per the advice of multiple people and stated why I wanted to be in the course, my student ID number, my full name, and a small thank you. An automated response was sent later on stating: "This is an automated response confirming receipt of your email."

And I have a couple of questions if someone would be kind enough to answer 💚😊:

Is there something else I'm supposed to do? How long do they usually take to respond or process reconsiderations? Are my chances low since it probably meant I did not qualify for the quota? Has anyone else experienced reconsideration what are your stories?

Thank you Lasallians, I truly hope I'll get to see you on Campus soon 🏹💚

Got accepted.. but it's not priority course. What do I do?

Hello Lasallians!

I'm an aspiring corporate lawyer, and I'm currently on a Dilemma. Financially speaking we cannot afford to gamble and are stuck in a Dilemma. My step-father who is a lawyer as well, is adamant on pushing me to political science. However I was admitted into AB Philosophy in the college of liberal arts. My plan is to switch courses in between 2-3 terms but I'm unsure if he'll allow this or if he even understands the concept of "pre-law" courses because in Italy they go straight to law school. I know Philosophy is a good choice but it is still ultimately up to him.

I was accepted into San Beda, and waitlisted at Ateneo as well. In San Beda I've heard the opportunities are obviously way less than compared to DLSU, due to well, obvious reasons such as networking and I've generally had a bad first impression of its high attrition rates.

Is there any way I can send an appeal so that I may still get into Political Science? What are the rules of switching courses? I'm very stressed. And I have always wanted to enter the De La Salle community I feel horrible that I didn't get into my priority program.

Why is abuse on stray animals becoming more rampant in the Philippines?

The many times viral videos online have been circulating regarding people abusing strays is concerning. Seems more prevalent with cats.

My first ever Tamagotchi 🦉 — why do people seem to dislike it so much?

So to preface this, my mother has given me a tamagotchi for graduating highschool.. she says it's always been her dream toy since she was a child as it was popular back in the 1999's! (I'm honestly so jealous I wasn't born during this era)

I don't actually know anything about tamagotchi or their history. But so far, tamagotchi paradise has really grown on me (。•́︿•̀。) I love my pets, I love my girl Hira (Hirohotchi) and I don't mind that it's low maintenance!

But whenever I search up reviews about the paradise it seems that the majority are semi-negative or are comparing it to other units. I really want to experience tamagotchi to its highest potential, and I just feel like after the many negative reviews or seeing better units such as "Pix" or "Uni" I regret ever telling my mother I was interested in one.
