What are the best minimalist sneakers under $100?

I normally wear boots for work and in general. If I'm running errands and it's not cold outside then I wear my Crocs. Point is I have no idea when it comes to sneakers. I plan on going on a road trip around the east coast of America using public transport and my bicycle during the summer and my boots would be too sweaty and Crocs are a no go. What are my options for quality minimalist sneakers under $100. When I say minimalist sneakers, I mean zero drop soles, wide toe box, all day wear comfort, light material as compared to my leather boots, and sneakers that feel natural but not the barefoot sneakers because I'll end up hurting my feet with all the walking and bicycling. Also, I have wide 2E feet.

So, I have some time off in July and have a museum ship tour planned. I'll first be going to Buffalo naval park on the 4th of July, then on the 5th go to the intrepid museum in NYC, then go to camden and visit New Jersey, later go to Boston to visit battleship cove, and finally to NC to visit North Carolina before returning home, it's a 2 week trip. But here's the question, should I go to Buffalo naval park earlier than the 4th, so that I can be at the intrepid museum on the 4th of July? The buffalo naval park website isn't working properly in the event section so I'm unable to figure out what they have planned for the 4th of July while the events for the intrepid museum are clearly visible on their website and I want to attend it because I want to watch the US navy blue angels. I'll be starting from Chicago and returning there. My mode of transport will be buses, trains, and my bicycle. Any suggestions?

I ordered this folding bike from alibaba. It's a brompton clone with 20-inch tires. What's a good ebike conversion kit for it? I plan on using this bike for touring around the US along with using buses and trains. I was thinking of a hub motor since it's cheaper than a mid drive. Specifically, the Bafang 48V 500W Rear Hub Motor Kit 20" tires(the whole thing with secondary battery comes out to be $910 which seems a lot in my opinion) But I was wondering if it would be enough to tackle hills or not. Is my selection good, or are there better options? The model is Fashion MINT Folding Bicycle 20inch 9speed Disc Brake Foldable High Quality Molybdenum Steel Frame T9D-20D Tri-folding Bike.

I live in the US but have never really gone outside my home city where I was born let alone my home state. I plan on going around the states visiting museum ships and other places using a combination of buses, trains and a folding bicycle. I already have a full size ebike which is my daily commuter but I can't really use it to travel around using public transport. So, I want to get a secondary folding bike for traveling purposes. I don't have a car or license nor do I want it, since my city has good public transport available. I don't want to spend a lot of money on a secondary bike since I'll only use it for travels and nothing more. So, consider my budget to be $600. What are the best options in my budget and are the Brompton clones any good or a waste of money?
