I’m 24 and dealing with androgenic alopecia, mostly thinning at the crown. I shaved my head today and started treatment (topical min + fin hope that works).

Now I’m just feeling nervous about going to the office, people are definitely going to notice and ask, especially since I had good hair until recently.

For those who’ve been through this, how did you deal with the questions or attention?

So, I’m dealing with this senior colleague who’s super friendly when we’re alone, but when the manager is around, she subtly downplays me and tries to make me look bad.

Like, the manager(m) and she were talking about this sports event. I’m a gym-goer, so it came up. I was just doing my thing, and out of nowhere, she calls me out in front of the manager, asking why I’m not going. I said “I don’t have time and not my priority rn” and she went about shaming me by comparing me to the manager (that he’s also a gym goer and 40+ still is going)

She’s always trying to make me look less capable in front of him.

Anyone have advice on how to handle these backhanded dynamics at work?

The thing stopping me is that I can’t directly ignore her or stop communicating as being in the same team as her means a part of my annual review depends on her feedback.😭
