ULPT You Can Get Information Out of Someone Easily By Making a False Claim

Suppose you're trying to get some personal information out of some nerd. Asking directly will make them clam up. Instead it is always better to make a false assertion and let their "UM ACTUALLY" reflex do the work for you.

Example, when trying to get a birthdate,

"What was your date of birth?"

"You were born on June 7th, right? A Gemini?"

"UM ACTUALLY, I'm a Taurus. May 20th."

ULPT Request: Need to get out of presentations (University) tomorrow.

Long story short, I’m in a Masters program and tomorrow is our last class.

I was supposed to present this project months ago, but I missed that class and the teacher never rescheduled me. I was hoping she’d forget about it and I’d just email it to her, but alas, she wants me to present tomorrow now.

I can’t just miss class with no explanation (obvious answer). And she would see through any of my excuses pretty easily. What would you do?

FYI professor is decently strict, very by the books.

ULPT Request - Neighbors leaving food for cats

I have some neighbors that think they are doing the world a service by feeding feral cats around the neighborhood. They live probably five or six houses from mine.

Both houses share the entrance to the street, one house has a "dog" house outside it that always has a ton of cat food and the other house directly across also does this but consists of two raised trailers that these cats live under instead of a typical animal dwelling.

The entire entrance to the street smells like a litter box. I can't imagine how it smells inside but their properties are mostly dirt, and again, smells like shit.

I know you can't control your neighbors, or their houses, my biggest issue is that these people go on walks to place tuna/cat food around the neighborhood. They literally wear safety vests announcing to the world what they're doing.

The cats themselves are a problem, I've had five cats in my backyard at one time (and multiple times) that barely blink when I come out there. I have to physically chase them off.

They shit in my yard. Everywhere. I have a dog and I can't have her eating it and she likes to roll in it.

My dog tries to chase them but has hurt her ankle a couple times and I have to limit how long she can be out there more than it used to be. And I can't have her eating cat cookies all day that they keep leaving.

I can't keep up with the amount of cat shit in my yard. I can't keep up with them pissing all over the Traeger or the swing that we can't even sit on because they keep pissing on it.

The flies in my own yard are horrendous and I keep finding piles of shit everywhere.

The part that has me considering horrible options is that they have dug up the plants that I got from my Grandma before she had passed. She's the whole reason I'm even into gardening and plants.

I just lost my job in February, I have two kids and a disabled husband. It shouldn't be my responsibility to clean up after these assholes making the neighborhood a biohazard.

ULPT Request: How to get someone out of the shower.

My sister spends 45 mins to an 1.5 hours in the shower daily. Sometimes after she gets off of work (4:00 pm ish) she will wait until I get off (6-7pm) to get into the shower. I genuinely can’t stand this. Both of us work rather sweaty/ messy jobs so we both need to shower after. I need a way to get her out of there quickly.

ULPT Request: How to fake volunteer hours on resume

The job I'm hunting for requires a stupid amount of volunteer hours/organizations that you are with. Think like 4 or more.

How can I perhaps fib most of these, I do not have the time for a 1-2 hour commitment*4 per week ffs. I'm guessing doing one of them would be worth it.

ULPT Request: How to get back at home inspector who screwed us?

Our realtors recommended this home inspector. Long story short, after we moved in we realized he missed so many issues from structural problems within his scope to an entire attic/wall rodent infestation, and so so much more.

To the extent that we had to move out and gut the house 100% and rebuild it, which was not expected. We kindly reached out to inquire why he didn’t point any of these issues out (honestly a simple apology and ownership would have done a lot) - to which he responded by having his lawyers threaten to take us to court, “ all the way to the Supreme Court if necessary, and we would pay for his legal fees”. This was our first house, with 3 young kids, and he completely fucked us.

After his response and refusal to make anything right, we contacted a lawyer who told us here whatever contract you sign is what is held up in court. He told us he had never seen such a terrible contract for the homeowner to have to sign, and that there was basically no recourse for us - because it would require huge legal fees, and if we were to lose (which he said was likely based on the contract that claims he is not responsible for anything he misses), we would then be responsible for his legal fees.

Huge learning curve for us, trusting our POS realtors and their even bigger POS home inspector. I will never hire a home inspector again.

The problem now is I keep seeing his smug ass around town. The way he handled it was so fucked, it does not sit well with me, and being a petty little bitch I want to get even. Yes, we left terrible reviews for him with pictures, etc., but that’s not enough after incurring a year long remodel and having to sync another 150k into the house that we did not have.

ULPT: Illegal eviction left me homeless — psych eval for max damages?

Hey all, so I'm in a very interesting and quite stressful situation. My life has been off the rails since i live at my old Apartment for two years with no prior issues, no late payments, and a good tenant history. Before the new management took over, I had a full-time night-shift job, was in online school full-time for my bachelor’s in software engineering, and ran my own web-design studio. Now I have nothing.

Immediately after the new owner/management company took over, severe mismanagement began.

  • The AC unit completely died in extreme heat. Maintenance visited once but never fixed it, and their system showed fake “completed” dates. I couldn’t work from home or run my server-based business and lost multiple invoices and clients.
  • I renewed my lease for the next year. They signed and executed it, but then immediately issued a 5-day notice under the old lease anyway.
  • In court, the manager (who had signed the new lease) denied the renewal existed. Under heat stress and pressure I signed a stipulation. They finally fixed the AC right after the first payment — proving they were withholding repairs on purpose.
  • I made all three stipulation payments (they accepted every one, even the slightly late ones).
  • I repeatedly told them (in writing and in person) that I had a valid new lease. They ignored it, filed for a writ under the expired old lease, and the sheriff evicted me without proper notice. The very next day they threw away all my belongings — no inventory, no storage, no supervision. I lost thousands in property, business equipment, and sentimental items.

I worked very hard to get prono bono lawyers got the eviction reversed, writ vacated and everything sealed, but the damage was done. A couple of months ago i got a new set of pro bono lawyers and we are now suing them.

Current Situation
I’ve been homeless ever since. I lost my job, got academically suspended, my business is gone, credit is tanking, and damages keep piling up daily. I’ve been pushing through every step of this nightmare — the heat, the lies, the illegal eviction, the loss of everything — on my own with no medical documentation. But I’ve now reached a complete breaking point. The stress, anxiety, no sleep, and constant survival mode (including minor back pain from sleeping in my car) have destroyed me mentally and physically.

I’m finally going to get a psychiatric provider-led psych eval because this has broken me.

My question:
What is the best way to use a basic psych eval to maximize emotional damages in court? The judge in my case is known to be very pro-tenant. I have no hard medical documentation from during the whole ordeal because I was trying to push through it on my own, but I’m at a breaking point and will be receiving care soon. How do I document the PTSD-like symptoms, no sleep, emotional collapse, and tie it all directly to the landlord’s misconduct so the judge can use common sense to connect the dots? Any tips on wording, timing, or what the evaluator should focus on to turn this into the strongest possible emotional-distress claim?

I want the full value of the case — not just the small documented pieces. Any real-world advice from people who have boosted emotional damages with medical evidence in a landlord-tenant case would be appreciated.

ULPT Request: I need to be a member of a church in good standing in 3 weeks

My friend has asked me to be the godfather of his son, and in three weeks I’m traveling internationally from the U.S. to be part of the ceremony. One thing we overlooked, for me to be a part of the event, I need to be a member of a Christian church in good standing and have some kind of proof to that effect. I do not have that. I’m vaguely Christian, was christened myself but never really went to church.

I doubt my friend’s church will really look into this much but short of completely forging a document, can I become a member of a real church anywhere somehow, and fast?

ULPT How to get the lowest possible price from a car dealership.

Your Miles may vary with this method but I was happy with the results. I even got banned form askcarsales when I asked about it.

Here's how you do it.

Go to the dealerships that have the car you want. Make sure its the same trim with the same trash they add on to mark up the vehicle. Doesn't have to be a 1 to 1 but close enough. In each of your of your test drives with the salesmen, tell them you're going to be making a decision this week. Offer each one this deal, in which whatever best price they give you, by whatever amount they beat the other lowest dealer, you will give them half of whatever you save (example, the winner comes $1000 under the next best price, the sales guy gets 500 bucks cash). Not every sales guy will agree but in my expirience, they will be willing. Note: keep everything off the books about said deal. Tell them they can text you their best number in a day or 2 and go from there.

This deal got me a nice number on my recent purchase and they sales guy walked away with an easy 700 bucks. You can give it to them however you want, just make sure you don't get them in trouble. I did it during the 2nd test drive before he "convinced " me.

Essentially bribe them.

Not saying this is the best method but it gave me better results than I expected. Getting banned on askcarsales was the icing on the cake.

ULPT: In a pickle to take leaves. What should I do?

Hi guys, i recently got onto a contract to teach till end of this year in London and am a good employee. I have only taken one sick leave in the whole year so far and have come in even I have chronic headaches. I have to travel to visit my parents before half term which is 25th May. And I booked my flight Friday evening (when we break up) and all other legs of travel were booked based on those flights but it got cancelled and the only flight is now Thursday midday which means I’ll have to take two leaves before half term which is absolutely killing me.

All the tickets were non refundable and are wasted now.

Would it be believable to call in sick for those two days? Or say I have a driving test on friday and sick on thursday? Or what excuse can I use? I don’t want to take them unpaid I am on minimum wage anyway. My head is nice but he’d say to take them unpaid if gets approved at all. Worse case scenario I will but wanted to know what you guys think. Thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

ULPT - Stepdad used mom as ATM for 20 years; divorce likely. Ideas?

Alright, need some “creative but not illegal” ideas here.

My mom has been married ~20 years (second marriage for both). For most of that time, she basically bankrolled their entire life:

She’s paid the mortgage on their house since ~2007

Covered most/all of their bills for at least the last decade

Put money into his business and worked there for YEARS for free. Business ended up going under

Helped fund repairs and costs on a second property

Paid for vacations, meals, day-to-day life

Added him to assets she bought herself

She did all of this willingly because she loved him and thought they were building a life together.

Here’s where it gets gross:

This only became a problem when they started estate planning.

Suddenly:

He wants things structured his way

Downplays or ignores everything she contributed

Has accused her (and us) of being greedy

Agreed to start paying part of the bills recently… and is now months behind

Continues spending money while owing her money

From the outside, it looks like he’s treating this like a competition he wants to win, not a marriage he wants to honor.

She’s not trying to take everything. She actually wants him to still be able to pass things to his kids. She just wants to feel like her decades of financial support are acknowledged and treated fairly.

But he’s dragging his feet, avoiding reality, and threatening divorce because it will most likely financially benefit him.

Divorce is now very much on the table. We are in a community property state in America.

What I’m asking:

What are some non-illegal, borderline-unethical ways to:

Apply pressure so he actually has to face reality

Make his current “comfortable” situation less comfortable

Create consequences for someone who’s been financially carried for decades

Or generally shift leverage without doing anything that would screw her legally

ULPT request : how to annoy my neighbor being obnoxiously loud at night

As the title says, my neighbor has been starting to play music extremely loud or even play with his band late at night, around 11pm-1am on the weekends and I work Saturday and Sunday, so I can't get a good night sleep when he does that.

We live in a duplex house, we basically share one wall with them. Calling the police does nothing, they just come, talk to them and leave without doing jack shit, since they just stop playing until they leave.

I have access to his roof.

I live in Mexico if it helps with anything.

ULPT request for scammer

It was a reference through a trusted source. They ended up taking the bracelet and not paying us. I have this person’s address, phone number, wife’s phone number, families home etc. What can I do to cause them more than 400 dollars worth inconvenience?

ULPT request: how to inconvenience my arsehole supervisor’s life?

I work in a small team, my supervisor recently started targeting me for unknown reasons.

He’s made several untrue reports to his superiors about my work performance and attitude towards colleagues.

My supervisor would make a report about me every time I do not give him full attention when he’s speaking to me, or if he feels in any way challenged. I have therefore been called to multiple disciplinary meetings.

Although all the reports ended up being unfounded, it greatly inconveniences me and my work because I need to constantly prove myself innocent and it’s taken a toll on my mental health.

Without it being very obvious, so that he can’t say it was definitely me or class it as another fault, how do I inconvenience his life as much as possible?

I have his full name, mobile number, access to his backpack (since he leaves it around in the office and anyone could access it). He’s got a mild allergy towards something mundane which I believe could be used to my advantage.

ULPT: Help me get through my divorce and leave some distruction after

I’m nearing the end of a brutal divorce where I’ve been on the wrong side of almost everything with barely any leverage. By the time it’s over, I’ll have paid over $1.2M. In the early years, I slept in a friend’s sunroom with my kids because I couldn’t afford anything else and my business fell apart. Just when I got back on my feet and stabilized financially, she took me back to court and got more money from me. When she tried again last year, it blew up in her face with the court finally showing their frustration with her.

I’m still driving an old beater with 220,000 miles on it while she has two brand‑new vehicles worth over $115,000 and a 1/2 million dollar house. Through all of it, I never gave up (although I came close a few times) and I’ve kept a great relationship with my kids. Now that the end is close, I need to protect my finances, save for retirement, and stop being on the losing end.

Today pushed me over the edge again. I told her I was going to take the kids on vacation over the Fourth of July (my day), and she informed me she’d already be out of town and had already booked flights and hotels and I wouldn’t be able to have them that day.

I'm here because I've played everything by the book and that has not helped me at all. I’m looking for some good ways to level the playing field when I finally have some leverage, I don't have to pay her $3,000/mo, and put an end to this sense of entitlement. Because our contact info is still a little intertwined, I got a text that I shouldn't have and found out her credit score is in the 500s and she was trying to get a cash out mortgage refinance recently. How do I help her find the bottom that I was in for so long and not allow her to use the kids to get more money from in the future?

ULPT request, Sisters ex won’t leave her alone

My sister has been in a relationship with a young man (both early 20’s). She broke up with him over two months ago. He has basically refused to be broken up with.

She’s doesn’t share a lot with me about it and is private about her relationship, but this is what I have learned from other people in her life and what bit she has shared.

Initially he kept showing up to her house, with flowers, apologies, trying to convince her to take him back. She has a hard time fully being done with someone she cares for so they kept in contact for a few weeks. She told me he started saying mean things to her when she wouldn’t take him back, and eventually told him they could no longer talk.

After a bit, he apologized again, and they started working through a few things and hanging out again.

That was the last I heard and I tried to not get involved. I was at her house with a group of friends earlier this month. I was taking a call on the porch when he marches by quickly, looks at me says “I’m sorry for being here”, then walks right into the home.

Initially I hadn’t thought much of it because I knew they had been in contact again. Then thinking about it I realized that was a bit weird. I peeked in the blinds and didn’t see either of them.

When I walked in I asked my other sibling what was going on and they told me when we had been outside earlier they noticed his vehicle and sister had been worried.

Turns out, sis had blocked him that day because when she refused to continue the relationship he called her over 60x and wouldn’t leave her alone. He had busted into the bathroom while she was on the toilet in a house full of her friends. I don’t know what the conversation was exactly, but she was a bit shaken. He left quickly after I went inside.

He has continued to bombard her on insta (the only place he hasn’t been blocked) until she finally blocked him on that just the other day. Apparently that day he barged in he told her he would see her in 1 month. (Initially this is a time frame she gave of how much space she needed before she had blocked him).

Obviously, as a protective older sibling I am thinking the worst. I do not trust this young man and his obsession makes me extremely nervous. In conversation with her, she doesn’t seem to be too worried about him doing anything to harm her, but I disagree.

I don’t fully remember the context of the conversation, but I believe it was after they broke up he said something along the lines of “is that because you think I’m going to shoot you?”

Please help me come up with ways to scare this fu**er off. I do not want to take chances.

TLDR: sisters ex bf has been stalking her, refusing to take no as an answer, barged into her house, calls endlessly since they broke up. I’m worried it could lead to something more dangerous.
