so i went in and got my 22 gauge ring changed to a 16 gauge flatback. the piercer was hesitant at first and told me he’d try his best to save the piercing. the wire was stuck into my piercing hole and he had to cut and PULL it out, after which he put the stud in (it was a struggle, given the change in size) it bled and i was YELPING in pain. it looks like this now, please tell me this isn’t as bad as it looks and it’ll heal. here are some before and after pictures. also, he told me he’s gonna put the flatback the other way round so my bump isn’t irritated by the flat side

got this piercing 2-3 weeks ago and they pierced me with a ring (yes. i know.) and it now has this bump. i was recommended to use oil and i did but i quit and started using saline a few days ago. is there anyway i can keep the piercing? can i upsize to a 16 gauge?
