I managed to get my first devlog video done. It was a lot of work and it also talks about the work that went into my game. Please share your feedback on the clarity of all the content. It wasn´t easy to get everything into a sub 10min video.
It´s a destroyed viewing platform next to a mysterious monument.

I found this island, 'Gupo Yu' (Taiwan), on Google Maps a while ago and have been obsessed with it ever since. No one lives there. There's a lonely monument with bullet holes on it. There are some abandoned buildings. A memorial sign for a British cricket team that died in 1892 in a shipwreck. A local legend about sirens and some very interesting and unusual history.
I´m going for PS1 / old CRT style-wise. (left some screenshots below)
For gameplay, I´m focusing on atmosphere and exploration.

I tried running this through image translation and it says this means "resource recovery".
Could someone explain? The original image is from an island I´m making a game about. My first thought would be something with either trash/recycling or maybe a place at the port where they would refill stuff. Or the translation is just lacking.
