now this isn't me saying I hated super mario galaxy movie i found it entertaining

but the main issue with the film is that the characters barely have any character arcs apart from peach and maybe bowser but it's so thin that I couldn't get invested also the paste was way too fast it feels like a massive roller coaster with no signs of stopping

meanwhile Sonic 2 is the opposite the film greatly expands on the development on Sonic's arc from the first movie and while taking its time with each scene and not rushing to the finish line

the super mario galaxy movie focuses on fanservice first and character second

Sonic the hedgehog 2 focuses on character first and fan service second
