Stop answering different questions from the one being asked!

This is a huge pet peeve of mine on Reddit. Somebody will ask a question and because you literally have to say something, you will answer a completely different question than the one asked. Think to yourself "is my answer actually answering the question, or a completely different one?" Then if your answer isn't actually answering the question, don't comment! You don't have to comment on every single post you see!!!

If your answer to "how do I do this on Windows" is "use Linux", you are insufferable and this is why you have no friends!

Any browser extensions to remove clutter from Google Ads?

The bloat on the Google Ads web UI is unbearable lately and only seem to get worse. Are there any browser extensions out there that clear this unnecessary crap? I use uBlock Origin to block elements I don't like but unfortunately it also blocks my ads themselves so I frequently have to turn it off to do stuff to my ads.

[TOMT][Satire Post] Satire article/post about using a slingshot or catapult as public transit

I saw something posted very recently that humorously suggested people using a slingshot or a catapult as public transit, perhaps as an airport shuttle. I found this article about Elon Musk unveiling a public slingshot system but it doesn't ring any bells to me. I thought it was The Onion but I can't find anything other than the one I linked. It may have been Clickhole, or another Onion-like satire news publication like The Hard Times or Reductress. I know that I saw it posted very recently (within the last month or two), likely on Instagram, but that doesn't mean that was when it was first published, as The Onion loves to repost old stuff when they become relevant again. I seem to remember the photo associated with the article was a man with luggage getting loaded into a slingshot along a river, but could be misremembering some details.

Seatgeek is changing prices for tickets based on your filters

I was looking for tickets for my dad and saw an amazing deal for two tickets that were $24 each. Since most promo codes only work if you spend $50+, I changed my filter to only show me tickets $25+ to see if I could get a slightly better deal on more expensive tickets with a 10% off promo code, and those same $24 tickets suddenly became $26. And it's not like the price just got refreshed, because they would go back to $24 if I cleared the filter. Sadly I actually bought those tickets at $26 because with the promo code they were cheaper than they would have been at $24 but it still seems very sketchy.

Every time TBS broadcasts this episode of Young Sheldon, they put a promo over the subtitles when the characters are speaking in Mandarin

I get turned off by any subreddit that allows GIF comments. Comment threads will turn into GIF after GIF after GIF, taking up way too much space and making my entire screen distracting mini-videos.
