Hi everyone, I’m in quite a desperate situation

I recently took the HSK exam for a Chinese university scholarship application. The certificate needs around one more month to arrive in my home country, but the application deadline is next Friday, so I’m applying for an additional expedited certificate.

Problem is, even express international shipping may not reach my country in time. Since the dispatch is done from Beijing, I’m hoping to have it sent to a Beijing address instead so it can arrive faster domestically.

Would anyone in Beijing be willing to help receive the document for me? It’s just an envelope with the certificate; after it arrives, I would only need a clear picture or scan of it sent to me. No forwarding needed and you can dispose of it

I will repay you by treating you a good Beijing duck or hotpot or anything fancy whenever im in Beijing

Thank you so much!!

First language: Indonesian

I never really learned Chinese formally; mainly self-taught from books and also took italki conversation classes here and there the past few years. Around last year June, I decided that I wanted to apply for MTCSOL CI scholarship which required HSK5 and HSKK intermediate.

However being a procrastinator, I only started preparing around December. First I tried using the HSK 5 standard course (the textbook) but I find it super boring so I jumped straight to the HSK 5 standard course workbook which is fiendishly difficult and demoralized me. But the good thing is that it made me felt like "omg I only have like 4ish months to go and I'm gonna fail" so I work super hard in those 4 months devouring all mock test materials I found online. I then noticed that the standard course difficulty are heavily inflated as the other materials are MUCH easier. For the Writing part, I used DeepSeek to grade my essays.

I was quite pleasantly surprised by my scores in Listening and Reading sections because for the former there were at least 2 questions that I wasn't sure of; and for the latter there were at least 1 question that I was very sure I got it wrong. A bit disappointed with my Writing score though as I thought I did pretty well (I took IBT so it's easier as I only needed to know the pinyin). This has made me realize that my passive (listening and reading) knowledge of Chinese is good but my active knowledge (writing and speaking) is not so good yet.

Now I'm worried about my HSKK results which will take one more week to be released; I couldn't take the HSKK intermediate - when I registered for the HSK5, the test center told me that HSK5 is paired with HSKK advanced, which is a different beast altogether. I don't understand why they forced HSK5 students to take HSKK advanced when even for MASTER scholarship program in China, HSKK intermediate is already accepted. To make matters worse, I took the exam in Malaysia where most of the test takers are basically native Chinese speaker so I felt so self-conscious when I was talking to the mic. For 听后复述, I haven't finished talking yet when the whole room had finished their responses so I also abruptly stopped talking as I was embarrased to be judged by them - BIG MISTAKE. In the 朗读 part, the whole room read at a machine gun speed so again when I still had a paragraph to go, everyone else had stopped reading. This time of course I knew I had to kept going on but for that last paragraph, I lowered my voice as so that they couldn't hear me, which might have affected my cadence and intonation in the reading... for sure I won't score well :'(

I will update once my HSKK score is released
