Random but the best thing I have found for chest stands/elbow stands is just getting into it from a standing/bridge position, really forces you into a deeper stretch vs rocking into it from your chest or knees IMO , side note glad to find my people here 🥹
As I start to get and feel older, I try to regularly try this move to keep my ability as long as possible in case I need to join the circus one day as I always say. These are 5-6 years apart, if I really stretch
before trying it I can usually get a good one but definitely not as easy to hold anymore. Genetically I'm pretty flexible but I also was a dancer for like 15 years and did acrobatics for a year which is when I realized my back was the way it was lol to say the least. This is probably my favorite and the best stretch for my back, bridges in general are great and probably my favorite stretch especially straightening your arms and legs and really pushing through your shoulders, shifting your weight, it did wonders for improving my chest stands, back flexibility and other tricks. Also elbow bridges and really sitting into it is a great stretch. If anyone else has any other recommendations on back stretches to maintain flexibility as someone not so young anymore Id love to hear
