Every time it rains in Singapore, my whole plan just collapses

I can leave the house under perfect sunshine, then 5 minutes later it’s pouring like crazy. Suddenly everything changes.... transport, timing, mood, everything. Even with umbrella!!! it never feels fully prepared.

I don’t even trust weather apps anymore!!

Is it still worth owning a car in Singapore or is it just status at this point?

With COE prices and public transport quality, some say owning a car is unnecessary luxury. Others say it still offers freedom and convenience worth paying for...

Do people actually mean when they're saying “I’m not ready for a relationship”?

Or is this just a polite way of saying not with you or I don't like you? Because sometimes they say it, then two weeks later they’re in a relationship with someone else. It’s confusing but also kind of universal at this point...

Why do family gatherings turn into relationship interviews?

I just want to eat peacefully but suddenly I’m in a Q&A session about my love life. Every answer I give somehow leads to more questions.

The sound of the ice cream uncle still hits different

Even now, hearing that bell brings back memories of school days, heat, and standing at the roadside deciding chocolate or rainbow.

What Singapore sound instantly brings you back?

Are Singaporeans actually friendly, or just polite on the surface?

We’re often seen as polite but reserved. Do you think real friendliness is common here or only in certain situations?

A habit that screams “Singaporean” even when you think it’s normal

I only realized how Singaporean I was after traveling overseas. I automatically stand on the left side of escalators, walk super fast everywhere, and get irrationally annoyed when people block the path. I also catch myself saying “can can,” “walao,” and “eh” without thinking.

What’s something you do that instantly exposes you as Singaporean even when you’re overseas?

Have you ever stayed too long in a relationship you knew was fading?

Not because of cheating or crazy fights but bc you kept thinking maybe things would go back to how they used to be. Sometimes the love’s still there but the vibe or connection slowly just ain’t the same anymore.

Anyone else experienced this?

Which Singapore food place has the longest queue that’s actually worth it?

Sometimes I see queues so long until it looks like people are collecting free money but some places really do deserve the hype.

What’s one food spot in Singapore where you queued damn long but ended up thinking ok yeah… worth it sia???

Why do people fall out of love even when nothing bad happens?

No cheating, no big fight, everything seems fine… then one day the feelings just kinda fade.

Is love just like that or people just slowly drift without noticing?

What’s a local slang word you use so much you forget it’s even Singlish?

I swear for me it’s “lah”.. it just comes out automatically like punctuation at this point. I only realize it’s Singlish when I text someone who’s not from here and they’re confused.

Went overseas recently and suddenly realized how many sg habits I didn’t even know I had until people looked at me weird

Like automatically queuing properly even when there’s no clear line or standing super left on escalators out of habit. Also the auto pilot way we say sorry/excuse me even in tiny space and how quiet MRT rides feel normal to us but not everywhere else lol.

Why deciding what to eat in SG as a couple feels like a daily boss fight???

One person says anything or anywhere but somehow every suggestion got rejected one by one

By the time y’all finally decide, half the restaurants already closing already lol

not gonna lie, sometimes i feel more lonely even tho i’m technically not single... like we’re together and all but it still feels like there’s a gap i can’t explain. we talk, we hang out but something still feels missing.

is this just a normal phase or am i overthinking it?
