An abandoned structure near the beach, I don't know what its purpose was

3 days ago I was walking in the woods with my dog when something caught my attention: a piece of paper hanging from a tree a little way off the trail. I got closer and saw this. The writing is in Italian, but it warns hikers of the presence of some sort of "creature," claiming that it is able to "imitate human voices or appearances," also saying that "its structure does not correspond to that of a human or a normal wild animal" (with the famous skinwalker photo from the creepypasta).

I've censored the town symbol of the town where I "live" at the top. The sign doesn't look very old, it was probably hung recently, and has a strange brown stain (ink maybe?).

In my opinion, there are two options:

- it's a prank by some kid.

- maybe something was actually "spotted," but (not having an image) they Googled something that looked like it and found that photo.
