Hi, I’m 18F and I’ve been talking to this guy for a few weeks and I genuinely can’t tell if I should keep going or stop, he can be really sweet and attentive sometimes and makes me feel like he’s interested, but other times he disappears for a while or responds really inconsistently and then acts normal again like nothing happened, I’ve told a couple of friends and half of them say I should stop wasting my time because he’s clearly not serious, while the other half say I’m just overthinking because we’re not even official yet and this is normal at the beginning, I don’t have much experience with dating so I don’t really trust my judgment here and I keep going back and forth, if someone is genuinely interested in you, is inconsistency already a red flag or is it something you’re supposed to “wait out” early on?
