Has anyone actually managed to get “Motor Caravan” on their V5C recently?

I’ve been looking into the requirements for a friend’s build and it honestly feels almost impossible to get the DVLA to change it now. Seems like loads of people are ending up with “Van with Windows” instead. For anyone who’s gone through it recently, has it actually affected your insurance much with UK providers or is it mostly just an annoyance on the paperwork side?

The Vauxhall Viva, still a classic after all these years.

Found this photo and had to share it here. There’s something about the simple design of the Viva that just works, especially in white. Does anyone else have a soft spot for these? My family used to have one back in the day and I still think they’re one of the best-looking cars Vauxhall ever made.

Got a few interviews lined up and I’m trying to work out how people spot companies that genuinely care about training vs ones that just want cheap labour. I’ve read quite a few stories about apprentices ending up doing basic admin constantly and struggling to actually get their study/off-the-job learning time properly. Are there any important questions you’d recommend asking during interviews to figure out whether the company will actually support you properly?

Hush still sounds ridiculously fresh for a 90s track

Went back and watched the video again recently and it’s mad how much energy Kula Shaker had during that era. The whole psychedelic/Britpop mix they had still feels completely different from most bands that came out around the same time. Honestly think Hush is one of the most instantly fun tracks from the whole Britpop period.

I know there are usually diversions or dog restrictions around Conic Hill during lambing season this time of year. Has anyone walked that section recently? Just wondering how clearly signposted the alternative route currently is and whether it changes the walk much at all.

Just sharing a photo I took of the lighthouse the other evening. Now that the days are getting longer, the Hoe is starting to feel alive again. It’s definitely my favorite spot to clear my head after a long day. Where’s everyone’s go-to spot for a sunset walk

Been seeing loads of runners flying past this week, guessing a lot are prepping for the race later this month or the 4-day trek. I’m just doing a supported walk, but it’s a bit of a reality check seeing people run while I’m struggling with a daypack 😅 For those racing, what’s the plan for Conic Hill, run it or more of a power hike? Safe travels to everyone out there, weather’s definitely keeping things interesting

Rewatching Jungle and this bit never gets old. The way Vince just fully accepts Mod Wolves like it’s normal😂. Yeah… and I’m King of the Mods. Also how is his hair still that high in the jungle?? Best Vince outfit in series 1 or not?

Hard to believe it’s been almost 30 years since this video came out. This unedited clip of the guys is pure gold. What’s your favorite memory of Supergrass? For me, it’s always going to be Gaz’s energy in this specific video.

It feels like there is so much pressure from school and family to take the traditional university route, but in 2026, the idea of "earning while learning" just feels more practical. I’d much rather get a head start in a career and a salary than take on massive student debt, so I wanted to know how others handled that pressure from parents or teachers and if you're happy with your choice?

I went into my local pharmacy today for a minor throat infection thinking they could treat it under the new scheme, but they told me I still needed to see my doctor. I thought the whole point of the recent expansion was to save GP appointments? Has anyone else actually had success getting treated directly at the pharmacy, or does it depend on the situation?

If you’re feeling a bit burnt out and need a proper reset, do yourself a favor and head down to the City Farm while it’s peak spring. I went on weekend when they opened at 10 am and it was so peaceful, watching the new piglets and goat kids is honestly better than any meditation app, and you actually get a bit of space before the school groups and weekend crowds arrive. Does anyone know if the pottery workshops are still running in the back studios? I haven't seen them listed on the gate lately.

I’m planning a move to the UK and trying to figure out where I’d actually enjoy living. One thing I really want is a bit of a community fee, I don’t want to end up somewhere where it’s hard to meet people or everything feels a bit quiet. Also, I’m into scale modelling (Airfix) and photography, and I’ve heard the Midlands might be good for that. Are there any towns where hobbies like that are actually active? Somewhere it’s easy to find clubs, photo walks, that kind of thing.
