How easy is it for people on PWD in BC to find a rental?

I’m trying to understand how difficult it is to find a rental in BC while on PWD. I know income is limited, so I’m wondering how people manage to get approved by landlords and what the process is like in real life.

If you’re on PWD (or have experience with it), I’d really appreciate hearing how you found housing and whether landlords were open to it.

BC disability assistance question: if benefits stop due to income, do you need to submit medical assessments again?

I know I have to keep submitting monthly reports. If BC disability assistance stops due to income, do you need to reapply from scratch to get back on, and would you need to submit new medical/psychological assessments again?

Anyone here currently working at Ardene or who has worked there before? How do you know where all the products go in the store? How do new employees usually learn everything?

I’m thinking about applying/work at Ardene and I’m a bit nervous about learning where all the products go. Do employees use scanners, planograms, labels, or are you expected to memorize everything over time? How do managers usually train new hires?

PWD (BC) + part-time job — how many hours should I work to stay within the earnings limit?

I’m on PWD in BC and looking for a part-time job.

I know there’s a $16,200/year earnings limit, but I’m confused about how to plan my hours around it.

Roughly how many hours per week do people usually work in part-time jobs to stay within that limit?

Any advice or real experience would really help.

Applied for Walmart Grocery Associate — what will I actually be doing?

Hi everyone, I recently applied for a Grocery Associate position at Walmart in Surrey.

I was wondering what the day-to-day work is like. What tasks do Grocery Associates usually do?

Will I be using a handheld scanner/device for stocking or inventory? Do they use it to show which aisle and shelf products go on?

I’d appreciate hearing from anyone who has worked in this role before.

Should I still go to my WorkBC appointment on Tuesday?

I’m a person with disabilities (PWD) and I didn’t get much support from WorkBC last time, so I’m feeling unsure about going again. I’ll have a new case worker this time though. Has anyone had a better experience after getting a different worker? Should I still give it another chance?

What grocery stores let stockers use handheld scanners to find where products go?

I’m interested in grocery stocking jobs and was wondering which grocery stores let stockers use handheld scanners to find where things go while stocking.

I know eventually you memorize product locations, but I’m curious which stores commonly use scanners during the learning process.

I’m in Surrey if that matters.
