The calculator gave a size that actually worked for me!

Thank you so much for this calculator! I feel so much more confident in how my shirts fit now and no more boobs falling out of their seat! I had such a poor fitting bra before for the past 5 years. I was originally a 32DDD but my body has changed quite a bit some I first bought that bra. Using the standard bra calculator I was getting a recommended 34G but that didn't account for the fact that I have severe ptosis (so the angled and lying measurement were bigger than the standing one for me). The calculator suggested I go with a 34I (US size) so I went in the middle for a 34H, since the girls aren't exactly the same size. I'm going to put in another recommendation for the Freya brand, it really works! Keep in mind when ordering from them it's UK size so my 34H (US) was a 34FF I ordered.

Comexim basic plunge and basic 3hc: getting some quad boob and shape doesn’t seem perfect on either one

I’m having some fit issues with both of these models and I can’t tell if it’s just the wrong shape or size for me or if I’m overthinking it.

My measurements:

Loose under bust: 26

Snug under bust: 25

Tight under bust: 24.5

Standing bust: 30

Bending bust: 32

Laying bust: 30

Recommended UK size: 26E

I do also think I am probably at least a little bit center full. My nipples dewpoint sort of diagonally outward when I do the lien test and it does seem like there is more tissue on the inside than the outside.

So maybe a year ago now, I purchased the basic half cup 3HC in nude in both 26FF and 26G. I returned the 26G because the top of the cup was gapping a little so the 26th FF seemed like a better fit. This was my first new bra in my fresh proper measurement after I found the sub.

However, the longer I keep it, the more I really don’t like the shape it gives me and I think I get a slight bit of quad boob. The shape just feels awkward, like it’s pushing all of my tissue toward the center too much and making the sides of my breasts look weird and slanted and flat, and sure it creates a nice cleavage but the rest of the silhouette just feels wrong under clothes. I still get that tiny bit of quad boob also and I can’t tell if I’m just in between cup sizes or maybe I’m too center full for it? Gore doesn’t quite tack all the way either.

N/s/f/w link to pictures of it including one under a shirt. Can you see the quad? Am I overthinking it and it actually looks totally fine even under the shirt? https://imgur.com/a/uiLOi1D

More recently to try a different silhouette, I tried the basic padded plunge also in nude. This model doesn’t go down to 26 band, which was honestly fine with me because I think the 26th felt a little too tight anyway, so I got 28F and 28FF to try.

The shape in the plunge feels instantly better, the silhouette is much more like what I would want, but there again I still feel like I’m getting the tiniest bit of quad boob in the smaller size and the larger size definitely has some gapping. I really want to like this one because it feels so much more comfortable and is a much better shape, but I still worry that it’s going to look ridiculous under clothes. And the Gore doesn’t quite tack down on this model either.

Link to the 28F: https://imgur.com/a/Izl0lbN

Link to the 28th FF: https://imgur.com/a/XkUZJVK

Am I totally overthinking it and the amount of quad I’m getting in both of these is fine, or am I noticing something real? Am I may be in between cup sizes, or maybe two center full for both of these? Or are they both just totally the wrong shape in some other way?

I know a T-shirt probably isn’t the best thing to test these under, but it was quick and unidentifiable and I thought the light color might help make the shapes more visible under it. I wouldn’t normally wear these under T-shirts but I would still be worried about the shape in nicer shirts that are a similarly thin fabric.

Note: I have also tried the Gloria and I still have it in 26FF, but I think I may have outgrown that one a little since I got it because I get much more noticeable quad and so I haven’t been wearing them. The shape seems kind of similar to the basic plunge but I didn’t include pictures here. But I seem to have similar problems with it as I do with the basic plunge just more pronounced. Going a cup size up might solve part of that problem, but I haven’t re-ordered the larger size yet to check.

[Recommendations?] 30FF, normally wear a tshirt bra but open to expanding my horizons!

Hi everyone! I have no fashion sense and almost exclusively live in white tshirts, meaning I've sadly been banished to sad beige bra territory.

However, I'm back at work now & have several work tops that would work with other styles & I've been interested in a seamed cup. I usually wear a Corin Sophia in 30G, but it's at the end of its life & I've gone down a size anyway. I'll likely buy it again in an FF but would love a *gasp* SECOND bra that fits. Ideally one that is low cut at the front & sides with thinnish straps for certain outfits.

I've read the instructions on posting pictures and it seems... a lot. So I'll give you a written rundown on what I've tried & why they didn't work & see how we get on.

I've just tried on:

  1. Curvy Kate Flora balcony bra 8FF - loved it from the front. The cup was a bit small. I could swoop myself into a good position, but other positions had quadding and the edge of the cup was so close to my nipple that I worry one bad move & I might be needing to tuck myself back in! The band felt more like a 32, I was on the tightest hook it wasn't even particularly tight. I hated how close the staps came in towards the hooks at the back - I prefer a wide set strap.

  2. Freya Fascinate balconette bra 8FF - really wanted to like this. The wires were too wide for me. It didn't give me a great shape, not sure if I should try it again in an 8F or if it's just not for me.

Currently breastfeeding, but my nursling is older now, so I've done away with nursing bras. My breasts have what I read here is called "soft tissue" (think "5 week old banana consistency"). In saying that, they're quite self supporting, close set (really struggle with having space for wires to sit between them) and have been incredibly helpful over the past 4+ years, so I won't complain 😂😂. They're not full on top at all, but I don't know if they're full on bottom or even fullness

I've lost my measurements from the calculator, but if these are needed, let me know & I'll take them again.

Many thanks!!

Bra recommendations for my newfound size 😂 34 E/DDD

Hi all! I did the bra that fits measurements and was shocked to learn my new size. I had been previously wearing 34D. Now I’m 34 DDD/34 E.

To confirm my size, I tried a few elomi bras on. The things I didn’t like about the elomi bras were the cups were not shaped…I am looking for a bra with shaped cups and I like underwire. I like the shaped cups so my nips aren’t chiseling through my shirt when I’m cold (which is constantly, at the office I work in).

I had previously been wearing the thirdlove tshirt bras and I really liked them! But it looks like a D is the biggest cup size they offer.

Any recommendations for something similar?

Recommended lingerie brands for big 12-K (Aus)

I have been searching everywhere for something cute to wear for my partner in the bedroom but everything online I can find either has up to H cup or sized in S, M, L, ect. which won’t fit either. If anyone could recommend stores that ship to Aus that have K cup and waist sizing that would be great!

Have any of you ladies tried the Shapermint wireless bras?

I keep getting adds pop. I bought some leggings from Shapermint and they are ok. I find the material not the most comfortable. But they do keep things tucked in and they stay up. Im wondering if the bras are made with a soft material, comfortable and work well.

Shocked at size after measuring. Is the calculator accurate? Am i way bigger than i thought?

I’m having trouble after measuring. First time i’ve really tried to measure. The calculator says 38gg. I feel like i must have measured wrong, but idk, every time i measure i get similar numbers. I’ve been a DD (supposedly) since i was a teenager, now I’m 26 yo. But i’ve also had trouble finding bras since forever.

Yikes for me :/ is it normal to not realize how big the cups are until you measure?

Recommendations? Backless bra options

I wear a 38 H and I am in a wedding party in a few weeks and my dress has a mostly open back, zipper goes to about my lower/mid back. It has a built in structuring that’s supposed to act as a bra, but since it’s backless it doesn’t actually offer much support. Looking for some good options that I could use that could help offer me more support.

Finally found ABTF!! Q about narrow roots + average projection in Polish bras

Hi all,

After about a year of trying, I finally found a bra that fits! I am a 34H/HH according to the calculator and my bra that fits is the Prima Donna Madison in 36H (the band runs quite small imo). I love this bra but want to find a few more suitable styles.

I have narrow roots and find the Panache Ana in a 32H with an extender to fit okay, but when I go to a 34H the wires become too wide. I’ve looked into Polish but I am not super projected— I need some immediate projection but I think for the rest of the cup I am basically average in projection. Are there any Polish bras that are less projected than Comexium and Ewa plunges? I have tall roots so a half cup would probably be my best shape.

Thank you!

Help with ABTF after weight loss and menopause!

Hi, I finally found my holy grail bras in the Ewa Michalak SF SMOOTH "GŁADZIOCH bras. They really made my wide set, full at the bottom breasts looks great (I also like the BM balconette from the same company), and they are just amazing quality. However, I've gone down a couple sizes due to menopause and weight loss and I can no longer fill out an 85 (38) DD, which is the minimum size I can purchase in this brand in the US.

Does anyone have any suggestions for similar bras I can purchase in a D (or maybe I even need a C)!

Thank You!

Need Advice on Calculator Measurements. I’m currently wearing a 48H.

Hi I was wondering if I could get some feedback on the measurements I took. I currently wear a 48H (Cacique cotton unlined no wire) on the smallest hook and it’s also over 3 years old. I have had a baby and lost some weight too so my boobs are very saggy; I was big chested before I had a baby. I’ve never really been able to find a bra that fits correctly and comfortably ever. I want to start being more active and cannot find a sports bra that fits me as well. I need a lot of help and advice.

The calculator says I’m a 42K with these measurements: https://i.imgur.com/iqSF1jN.jpeg

Thanks!

Recommendations for how to find a bra that doesn't bruise

I'm looking for information on how to know if a bra fits right. I'm a 32GG(UK) and most of my bras feel and look right when I put them on but end up slipping/bruising matter how tight/loose. I can never seem to tell what is a good fit in the moment even if I asked for help.

I'm starting to think it's down to the fact they are a GG and my body can't support that. I've been told that isn't true.

[Measurement Check] currently wear 36DDD but calculator says 32H

my 36DDD is the wacoal 853339 or comfort first t-shirt bra. It’s soft and seemed to fit me well before, but not perfect. Maybe i was delusional but i liked the look of the bra on me. But right now I have to wear the bra on the tightest clasp, i have to shorten the straps a lot, like nearly half the size the straps were before, and there is some gapping near my cleavage. I still think it makes me look nice but it’s too loose all around. the band is too big and the cups are gapping and I can only tighten the straps so much. I just don’t know about the larger cup size? I guess the cups fit me fine a bit loose, the gapping is at the top and the inner edge of the cups. This bra is a couple years old so I know the band has been reasonably stretched out. I don’t know anything about sister sizes but if there’s another size that is similar and is easier to find than a 32H pls help. For shape, I’ve never heard of any of these terms before but from the diagrams my best guess would be possibly shallow, i think my fullness is pretty even but my breasts do hang a bit low. I had significant breast reduction a couple years ago but I got the wacoal bra a year or two after the reduction not before. I think I lost a bit of weight or the weight just redistributed within this year.

Loose Underbust: 32

Snug Underbust: 31.5

Tight Underbust: 30.5

Standing Bust: 39

Leaning Bust: 40

Lying Bust: 38.5

bra advice for halter neck low back wedding dress

Hello

I get married in 2 weeks, and I need a bra for my dress. it's very similar to this one - https://graceloveslace.co.uk/products/goldie-rtw

I've lost some weight since getting it tailored, and it's become loose and showing a lot of side boob. I'm going to get it adjusted somehow to pull it back a bit and tighten it up, however I am trying to find bra options as I find them a lot more comfortable and less hassle than sticky bras and boob tape.

the only halter neck bras with a low back I can find, all have a double strap, which will show across the middle of my back.

anyone able to help?

Thank you!

[Fit Check] Sculptresse Chi Chi Balconnet 38G. Fabric on the side of the cup cuts into my armpit and there is pulling at the hooks. I also feel like my breasts get a kind of shelf look in this bra. Do I need a larger band and/or cup?

My measurements can be found with this link https://www.reddit.com/r/ABraThatFits/s/IBLDZHmQn4

My previous fit check for an Elomi Lucie 38g can be found here https://www.reddit.com/r/ABraThatFits/s/7wgmAj0Gaj

I want to like the Sculptresse Chi Chi, but I think I need a different size. The issues I see are listed in the title. I did adjust the straps to be looser, which helped a bit with the shelving issue.

Here is the link to me trying on the bra https://ibb.co/album/nr85d5

I appreciate the help and the input as I’m learning how bras should fit after many years of wearing the wrong size.

[Recommendations?] 32L US/32HH UK looking for a wireless “at home” bra that’s comfortable and supportive

Hi, I work from home and my schedule has shifted from being entirely off camera to being on camera several times a week. While I realize you can’t see my chest in the video frame, I instinctively feel more vulnerable without a bra in a professional situation (personally; no judgment if you don’t).

My go-to bras for the last 5 years have been Sugar Candy (https://www.sugarcandybra.com), and the good things are no wires and good size support. However, the band tends to roll in on itself, and the lift is minimal. For comfort, though, they’re decent.

I’m considering buying a new one, but I’m hopeful there may be other options out there that don’t have wires that can still support my heavy chest. Any recommendations? I’m 32 L (US)/32 HH (UK). I’ve done okay with 34 K, but I’ll usually need to go on the tightest hook, which isn’t ideal.

I can sacrifice some lift/support for comfort, but the truth is I’ll always opt for comfort over most things, and I’m at a size where things hang lower than I’d like. I’d love to be able to wear this bra for quick trips out, and not just at home. I basically only use my wired bras for date nights or professional in-person meetings. I’m coming to terms with likely being autistic, so that’s part of why comfort is paramount.

Seeking recommendations for a minimizer bra 36k

I measured using the calculator, which recommended starting with a 36 H UK. It says the sister size 34 HH may be more supportive.

loose underbust 37

snug underbust 36

tight underbust 35.5

standing bust 44.5

leaning bust 49.75

lying bust 48

I usually wear Elomi Cate or Matilda 36H. I also have a 38H Charley which seems to fit tighter than the others.

I bought a dress that seems to fit well, except it needs a little help at the top. I thought a good minimizer bra might make the dress fit better. Most of the ones I have seen are ironically in much smaller cup sizes.

Does anyone have a suggestion for one in a 36 H UK (36K US)?

Thanks!
