Less than 2 hours. Can this be polished out? Fucking birds.

I'm a propane stove, hand ground pourover coffee kind of guy. I recently received a Nespresso Vertuo machine and a bunch of coffee pods so I decided to stick it on the watts-up meter to evaluate it for mid-day caffeine top-ups. I was super surprised to see that brewing 8 oz of coffee only used around 20 WH, flash heating water on demand rather than storing it hot. It uses 0.5 watts on standby and bursts between 350 and 1300 watts for under two minutes brewing a cup. That is totally manageable for my existing kitchen inverter and the vampire load won't matter because it will be completely powered off between uses.
It won't change my morning routine because I love grinding coffee and having a big pot ready for when the fam finally wakes up, but it has found a place in camp #2's minimalist kitchen.
Sourh Central NB to Murray's Harbour and back. Officially the furthest East this car has made it. Kind of a boring drive but the stay was worth it.
Gotta say, unending long straight roads with no visibility issues or traffic is not the native home of this vehicle with the stock tune, haha.
Don't run low on fuel in rural PEI on a Sunday. Found fuel with 20km remaining on the display. A little more sightseeing and we may have had some problems making our way back towards Charlettetown...
I don't think I can argue with $350 Canadian to my door. Anybody have any reasons for me to not buy it, or a better option to consider?
I tried. And failed, really wanted to hit 29mpg. Sure it indicates that but nowhere near in reality.
Americans feel free to reply, I'll pay more for shipping if customer service doesn't suck from somewhere specific.
I didn't order the wheels before the sale ended so now I'm going another direction with this years modifications.
Going to leave the arches plastic but I am going to grab the rear bumper cover and probably the OE ducktail.
Anybody found a method to get around insane shipping costs? I know I found one retailer with $23, and another with $260 rates last time I looked, but save me a days research and giving money to the wrong idiots, who have we had great customer service from along with medium-ok pricing.
Drove the wife to a haircut last week, ended up being in the absolute middle of nowhere with twisting backroads for a solid 20km... to a dead end in the woods with not a single car noted.
And I wasn't in the WRX. It hurt me. I hooned the hell out of the Mirage but that thing gets all out of sorts with a bit of sand and gravel on the road.
Looking for any input. One of the larger purchases to date for this thing and just trying to make sure all will work.
We do a lot of offroad travel and clearance is a mild concern.
Those who went wider, any appreciable change in fuel economy? Or did it stay pretty close to what it was before.
Maybe just one question. Say you are having a stable day, and you get the call. *What are you tossing down your gullet during response?*.
Was using irons to expose an electrical conduit yesterday, which promptly led to needing to hack a hole in the subfloor and after a long series of events I did end up much lower than I would have liked.
As the first T1D at our hall I'm kind of working through my own policies and procedures, but I'd really like to hear how you guys are handling things. (Obviously all know where sugar is stored and my phone is at recovery staging so support members can check my glucose while I'm involved, my concern is not handling lows, it's about how to prevent during extreme periods of activity)
My main question is just, I guess there's no reason to not toss back a speedy snack when leaving the hall eh? Shotgun half a bottle of Fanta and slam down a protein bar? Any other tricks?
On the induction sub it seems like nobody will recommend anything othe than the Thermador and honestly, $12,000 after tax isn't in the budget.
Seems like the Frigidaire PCFI3670AF fits what we might be looking for but I'm clueless on all of this, with our most expensive range to date being our current $519 Insignia which neither boils water nor maintains oven temps.
Suggestions? We don't want much our of it aside from convection, and the ability to run a 12, a 14, and still fit a couple saucepots.
I will argue with anybody who says you need butter or oil to cook vegetables.
I like my vegetables to taste like vegetables and char!
Anybody else having issues? Fairly consistently, 1-2 months after install we get a call that the pullout does not fully extend. All it takes is 50-80lb of force to pull it out all the way, then it works for, either, another few months, or at least a year.
Worth noting we are not sure what the follow up rate is on our 5 year warranty, so they may stick again more often than we can track... customers may take the explanation from the previous fix and pull through the resistance themselves (honestly if it happens a handful of times a year I would just live with it myself).
Had anybody found a real fix for these? I know our rep is tracking them but it seems to be happening more often as time goes on now, to, I think, a 100% rate of incident.
They are the only reasonably priced 3 bin and they work the best when they work, but when you install a couple dozen a year those warranty visits start adding up.
I have no experience with tires like these and a quick glance at the tread pattern has me assuming I'll do doing some sick drifts in wet conditions.
Tireshop guys, what are people's main complaints on these?
Going on a Transit 250 always loaded with a shitload of weight. Super.... Super excited.
