Classic Rooibos Tea
Just putting this here so everyone can see how beautiful it turned out ☺️ I really love the colour ☺️
I had to dump it out because not so recently either a cloth or pantry moth larvae crawled into my Irish Breakfast tea (which i had to throw out 😞), and I feared that this would have some in as well, but they spared my rooibos tea, fortunately.
I'm writing an essay (i think it's called essay in english, but maybe course/term paper would be better) on the Theatre of Pompey. I read in Plutarch's Parallel Lives that during the opening of the theatre they used a lot of animals (Plutarch mentions that 500 lions were killed), and for that particular part of my essay i've been looking for articles or papers that write about the use of animals in such matter, but i can't find any (i'm looking on JSTOR, i might not be using the right ords while searching).
could someone here help me out? i'm interested if and how this would have led to so species going extinct or something, or just detailed writings of how these animals were actually used.
thank you in advance!!! 😃
The Death of Caesar by Jean-Léon Gérôme (1867)
Who is the man sitting there?
This has been bugging me for a little while, and i can't find a straight answer. Articles i found only focus on the men leaving the senate, and not that man.
I've seen some vague answers saying that it is Cicero, but if i remember correctly, Cicero after being surprised by the attack, supported the conspirators.
Since this is the Theatre of Pompey, i've been wondering if he could be the ghost of Pompey? Not on this picture, but the ones with proper lighting he is equally lit as the body of Caesar (just a little from above), so it made me think he is also a dead person.
we recently went to this tea+coffee place with my boyfriend, and they have a wide range of different teas, they are really tasty, and the service is great, everyone is really nice!
so if any of you come to budapest sometime in the future, make sure to check it out!
(i recommend booking a table, which is not that hard, i dont think they are ever fully booked)
its small and cozy, and quite cheap!
we both ordered fruit blends, he did a ginger one and i did a mainly blueberry one, they were both excellent! the flavours balanced each other out really well!
got 2 of this camembert from work for free
i put both into the airfryer for a couple of minutes
first pic is the one i made for myself (trying it and stuff) - there’s rosemary and honey on top, with the strawberries
the second is the one i made for my boyfriend - again with honey and rosemary, this time with nuts and raisins (there was more in a bag), then strawberry jam that i made
they both turned out really good 😊
i don’t know how special this brand is, but we liked it 😁
