Any women on here that are also mothers? I (35f) am in a pretty difficult situation as a stepmom trying to connect with my husband’s children. Ive found it really isn’t that common in our Muslim community. I’ve been facing some judgement occasionally from other Muslim moms in our social group. But more importantly, some days I find that I can get along well with my stepchildren (22f and 19m), but other days they seem very closed off and cold, especially my stepson. Is this normal? How do I work through this?

My (35f) anniversary is coming up and I’ve been thinking about what to get my husband (44m). My friend from yoga told me she had taken these risqué (not naked) photos for her husband and suggested I do something like that for my anniversary. She said it was a big hit for a husband.

I contacted the photographer this morning. He says that he can do it discreetly and that he’s done this for several years now. He has locations he has access to etc.

So I guess my major question is, would husbands appreciate something like this? Are there wives who have done something like this before? Is there a potential for this to backfire?
