Help me decide

I have a 1.72 elongated cushion cut diamond and have chosen this setting. The prongs would have to be changed for my diamond shape and size, but I’m wondering if it would be secure with just 4 prongs. I mean it’s not a huge diamond but still. I’m trying to avoid a gallery band.

Or, I could do a basket.

What are your thoughts? I really need advice.

Note: jeweler is remaking the whole ring since it’s 18k but I want 14k and said I can make any changes.

I’m starting to give up :(

First world problems.

I can’t decide on a ring. I have the center stone. I want yellow gold. I want it to sit high enough so a band can sit flush against it. I want a type of solitaire but with a little zing. I don’t want diamonds around the band. I think I’ve looked at every website. Nothing feels right.

If you’ve been in my shoes please tell me what you ended up with and if you’re happy with it.

Where in the portal do I add my lab results?

And describe it like I’m a 5 year old who has never done anything on a computer. 😂

Yay or nay? From GemRockAuctions

Is this a reasonable price for this color and carat Tanzanite?
