My completed fish sculpture!

Not a huge fan of the plaque, but I love how the fish turned out!My professor and classmates also seemed to really like it.

Info: Earthenware, coil built, the surface is just painted underglaze and clear glaze at low fire

The solicitors always find me on the day I'm expecting a package

You know, the two days a year I'm actually willing to open the door for people. Somehow the witnesses and the political canvassers always find me specifically when I'm expecting a package.

It feels like they have some sort of tracking or something (I know they don't and it's a coincidence, and I'm sure they show up on days where I'm either out of the house or not so willing to open the door. But man, it still feels that way sometimes)

Freya's long whiskers!

Forgive the mess in the background. We're moving and all those clothes had to be taken out of the dresser.

The achievement is for mapping all of the named locations in The Long Dark in one game (base game only, you don't need to worry about the DLC regions). I think you keep your progress if you cheat death/respawn, but I never died, so I didn't need to worry about it.

This took a very long time. I think I've been playing on this save file on and off for around 6 months now, but I finally got the motivation to finish out the last few regions. There were other achievement's I did on this save file that added to the time, but the majority of the days were spent mapping.

I don't know if this will ever be a game I 100%, it has some very nasty achievements (namely, surviving 500 and 1000 days without using cheat death, and surviving 46 days in the game's hardest difficulty). I still want to get as many as I can though, and I'm quite proud of this one.

Example 1 of the type of sound effect I'm talking about

Example 2, sound occurs at around 9:49. This is actually the video that got me thinking about this

It's kind of an odd sound for us to so universally associate with fear or danger. It's easy to see why a sudden sharp sound would be eerie, mostly just because it startles you, but a low drone? It's not loud or overstimulating, it doesn't sound like something in nature that would be dangerous, so what is the psychology that makes it unsettling?

On my way to class when my bus got stopped because of a road closure. Lots of cop cars and the whole area is blocked off with police tape

They're found mostly in Eastern African countries, and the males have this incredibly striking coloration (although maybe I'm a little biased as Spider-Man is my favorite superhero).

Anyways, discovered these guys because someone posted a really heavily edited photo (like, cranking the saturation as high as possible) on the reptile subreddit. Now I'm posting it here because I needed to right some wrongs. These guys don't need to be edited, their natural colors are already gorgeous!
