Success stories about conceiving after 5+ cycles of letrozole

I'm currently on my 5th cycle on letrozole.

March 2025 - start metformin after TTC for 2 years. Cycles go from 80-100+ days to about 40-50 days. Ovulated for 5 out of 6 cycles, 1 cycle I had to take provera to begin a new cycle.

November 2025 - decide to start letrozole to help shorten my cycles even further

December 24 2025 - 1st letrozole cycle, 2.5 mg, get an ultrasound and they can see 2-3 follicles, so we decide to continue with that dosage. Cycles are consistently 28-30 days.

To today, 5 DPO on my 5th cycle. From my Googling and what the doctors have told me, after the 3rd-4th cycle, statistically the odds are not so good (I guess thinking of a bell curve).

I have never been pregnant before, in 3 years of TTC. After this cycle, I have letrozole refills for another 3 cycles, so 8 cycles of letrozole total.

I'm hoping to hear some stories from others about their successes on letrozole. Ideally if you've conceived after 5 cycles. I'm admittedly feeling really down about it today, and just hopeless honestly.

EDIT TO ADD: In case it's helpful - I have a high BMI (44), exercise 4-5 times a week, and eat relatively well, about 70% nutritious and 30% not-so-nutritious. I get a massage once a month, and do acupuncture once a month. I've had an HSG, and hysteroscopy, my husband had a normal SA.

Middle name for Iona

I recently came across the name Iona.... I'm obsessed! I've been hunting for Scottish names (both boys and girls, I'm not pregnant but we plan on being Team Green).

My dilemma is, a few of my middle name ideas are nouns. Given Iona sounds like "I own a", they don't pair very well.

Iona Pearl

Iona Meadow

Iona Rose

Part of me says, it's just a middle name, but I can't unhear it.... I also have on my list:

Iona Hilda (I don't like how they end in the same sound, but Hilda as a middle name is practically a non-negotiable)

Iona Daphne

Iona Bryndís (another family name, but unfortunate IBS initials)

What are some other middle name ideas you have? Is a noun middle name really a big issue? What do you think of my ideas so far?

I'm surprised that crosshairs appeared today!

I really thought I ovulated on CD 15, Saturday.... The day after my positive OPK and where I had quite a bit of cramping. So I was surprised to see crosshairs appear today.

What do you think? Did I ovulate CD 14 or 15?

EDIT: Also because it may be helpful, I did get my first positive OPK pretty early in the day on CD 14, around 10am ish

CD 13-14 | easy@home | LH leap!

I usually don't test so early in the morning but I'm glad I did! My LH spiked overnight apparently.

We've been trying for 3 years, only ovulating for realsies over the last year. This is our 5th letrozole cycle.

It's hard not to get too eager. I want this to work so badly :(
