Is Mandrake’s site down or something?

I just saw a post about Angel Philia dolls, looked them up, and became obsessed almost instantly. I saw that Mandrake is a good place to look, but I tried checking their website and this is all I get, nothing else no matter what I do! I wanna see if they have one I like in my budget 😭 (though I am considering buying parts over time to just flat out build my own so I have exactly what I want…)

A few of my unflavored potato chips from a fresh bag have a slight tangy taste but smell perfectly normal and don’t have a stale texture. Should I be concerned?

Specifically, they are Great Value Wavy potato chips, and the expiration date is July 13th of this year.

I did look it up and found that both potatoes that got a little bit too much sun can develop a bit of a tangy/sour taste, as well as old oil that may have started to oxidize. Is this most likely what’s going on? Does it mean the chips aren’t safe to eat?

The tangy taste is mostly an aftertaste, and it’s not EVERY bite/chip that has it, just a few here and there have it, and it’s not strong, really just enough of it to be noticeable. All other chips taste 100% normal, and not one piece had a stale texture, every single one, even the ones with the tanginess, was perfectly crunchy, I have not come across a single piece that was soggy or otherwise not crunchy despite them definitely being very greasy.

They weren’t green or anything, they look 100% normal. There are a few more pieces that are burnt/overcooked than usual, but I usually pick those out so the taste was not from chips with burnt/overcooked spots.

I’ll go first: Liminal Space/Dreamcore/Weirdcore/Backrooms photos, music, games, and videos I see on TikTok.

Apparently these things make most people anxious/uncomfortable, but for me, they relax me almost instantly! No clue why, but they do.

So, what’s your version of this? I’d love to hear them!

Okay, so, the other night I had a dream where I got something from a hot dog stand and they had condiment bottles available for customers to grab and use freely. I grabbed ketchup and, I kid you not, I could legitimately taste it. It was really sweet and had essentially no acidic taste whatsoever. I absolutely NEED to find ketchup like it to consume in the waking world!

I am in the US (specifically Texas), and I do NOT have access to Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, or any other “fancy” grocery stores. I have Walmart and Brookshires. If I go to a town like 15 miles away, there’s a Super 1 Foods, but that’s it. Nearest Target and Kroger are an hour away. So, if it’s something exclusive to any store other than Walmart or Brookshires, it’s not an option for me.

I don’t care about additives or “the chemicals/sugar/etc”, I don’t care about things being organic or non-GMO or whatever, none of that BS. I do enjoy Heinz regular ketchup, and Great Value ketchup is also good, but they aren’t even close to what I’m looking for.

Once again, what I’m looking for is very sweet, it’s got the perfect smooth (almost silky actually) texture, and there’s little to no acidic taste/bite to it, but it’s still clearly ketchup in taste. So hit me with your best suggestions that fit my criteria!

I’m looking for some advice from people who have experienced this and managed to, for lack of better wording, “fix it”.

Eggs were one of my safe foods. I absolutely LOVE scrambled eggs, as well as baked French toast and my grandma’s quiche/egg bake. I love the taste, I love the texture, I just flat out love eggs. During the pandemic, I ate them frequently. Then, in I believe early 2023, I suddenly couldn’t eat them anymore. I didn’t get burned out on them, I didn’t have any kind of negative experience with them, just one day I ate eggs and the next day I was suddenly absolutely TERRIFIED to eat them! I was afraid that no matter how well they were cooked, even if burned to the point of being inedible, they were actually undercooked and going to give me salmonella poisoning. I swear to god this was an overnight, out-of-nowhere thing and absolutely NOTHING happened to trigger it.

I have been craving eggs since then, and it’s gotten to the point that the cravings for eggs are causing me legitimate physical pain to NOT be eating them, but I can’t get past the anxiety.

If you’ve been through this kind of situation with one of your safe foods and managed to get it back to being a safe food, how did you do it? What worked for you? Because I want my eggs and I want them NOW, and it’s killing me that I can’t manage to eat them! I’m so desperate that I would eat a whole jar of freaking mayo, which I absolutely HATE (taste, texture, and ARFID telling me “ew that’s raw eggs it’s basically just goopy salmonella spread people put on sandwiches yuck”), if it meant I could eat eggs in some form!

We just had to ban a user for repeatedly violating the “Don’t Be A Jerk” rule, which is not a decision that was made lightly.

If you make a post or comment that gets removed, and you feel the removal is unfair, you are welcome and encouraged to contact the mod team via ModMail to ask for clarification on why exactly your post/comment was removed, and if the decision can be reevaluated. Sometimes posts and comments are removed by the AutoMod, and to be fair, it does frequently remove comments that do not violate any of the rules of this subreddit. The removed posts/comments are checked daily because of this, and any that are determined to have been falsely removed by the AutoMod are manually approved.

This is meant to be a friendly community where people who enjoy peanut butter can connect and share that enjoyment with each other. Members are, of course, free to have and share their opinions, that’s part of the experience. You’re allowed to disagree with other’s opinions. All we ask is that you be kind and respectful about it. If you do not like another member’s post, you don’t have to comment on it. You can just ignore it. You don’t know who exactly is behind it, so for all you know, if you decide to be a jerk to the OP, you are being a jerk to a child, or possibly even one of your loved ones. You have no way of knowing. And even if you did know for certain who was behind the post/comment, that does not make it okay to treat them poorly.

We are not here to be dictators or anything, we Mods are here because we, like you, enjoy the delicious concoction made from pulverized peanuts (that may or may not include a few other ingredients), and we want to be part of a friendly community full of other people who enjoy it as much as we do. But part of being a mod is upholding the rules and holding people who break them accountable. We don’t want to be mean; We want to be fair and keep things peaceful. Attacking us for trying to do that just makes it uncomfortable for everyone.

Please be kind if you want to be part of the r/peanutbutter community. If you have nothing nice to say, it would be best to not say anything at all. And, once again, you are welcome and encouraged to reach out via ModMail for any issues you are having here, including if another member of the sub is bothering you and your attempts to be diplomatic about it and make them stop are not working.

Thank you, and please enjoy your favorite form of consuming peanut butter today!
