Seeing people get 7-8 LPA in marketing roles… is this path actually viable?

Seeing people get 7-8 LPA in marketing roles… is this path actually viable?

I always thought decent packages only come from tech roles, but recently saw some programs (like LIT School) claiming:

7–8 LPA avg in marketing/growth roles

companies like Rapido, Vedantu, UpGrad hiring

decent placement before course ends

Now I’m confused because I’m not that interested in coding long term.

For people already working:

Is marketing/growth actually a stable career path in India?

Or are these just early-stage startup roles with uncertain growth?

My cat destroyed my rug and now she’s sitting here looking innocent like she didn’t do anything 😭

I left my food on the dining table for literally two minutes and my cat somehow managed to knock the entire plate over onto the living room rug. It was incredibly oily, and now there’s this ugly stain that refuses to go away.

I already made the rookie mistake of scrubbing it with water and dish soap, which I'm pretty sure just spread the oil around and locked it in even deeper To make matters worse, it's a wool blend carpet, so I’m terrified of completely ruining the fibers.

Even after trying to remove it out, the grease and food smell just won't go away.

Does anyone know any actually useful hacks for cleaning heavy oil stains out of deliccate wool rugs at home? Or given the material, should I just give up and book a professional deep cleaning service before I mess it up further?

Cat tax in the post obviously. Look at the criminal acting completely unbothered like she didn’t just commit a total war crime.

As a Product Manager, these are the 4 questions I ask before locking any roadmap item

I’m a PM at a fintech startup and this simple framework has saved us from at least two weak roadmap calls in the last quarter.

Before we commit to any major feature, I ask four questions.

Is a competitor already building this based on recent hiring patterns?

Has someone already shipped this, and what are customers saying about it in reviews?

Is this solving a problem competitors are ignoring right now?

Will this still feel differentiated six months from now based on where the market seems to be moving?

This takes around 20 minutes per feature but it forces better prioritisation conversations.

Earlier we used to debate ideas only through internal opinions and customer asks. Now we also pressure test against competitive reality. That has helped a lot in avoiding features that look exciting internally but are already becoming table stakes outside.

▲ 4 r/SaaS

One thing I underestimated as a PM in SaaS: competitor tracking becomes impossible the moment roadmap chaos starts.

What’s helped me is reducing it to just 3 things every week:

1. Product updates / changelog pages

This is honestly where you learn the most. Repeated improvements around one workflow usually means they’re seeing traction there.

2. Recent reviews only (G2/App Store)

I ignore lifetime ratings now. Last 30-day reviews are way more useful because patterns show up fast when something starts breaking.

3. Product + engineering job postings

A company suddenly hiring for integrations, AI, analytics, mobile etc usually tells you what’s coming 3–6 months before launch.

None of these take that long individually. The hard part is staying consistent once sprint pressure and internal fires take over.

Curious if other SaaS teams here have a structured way to monitor competitors without turning it into a full-time job.

I bought 2 tubes during that “I’m gonna fix my skin this summer” phase, and it turns out I don’t reach for it daily 😭 it’s actually really nice though, super light, no white cast, and doesn’t feel like those sticky sunscreens

One of them is barely used , so if someone’s been wanting to try it but didn’t want to risk the full price, I can pass it on. feels wrong just letting it sit there

Preferably someone with oily/combo skin who’ll actually use it lol

I honestly used to think that having rough, frizzy hair was just my look and there wasn't much I could do about it. But for the last 6 months, I’ve actually been following a proper routine, and the difference in texture is crazy. My friends have been pointing out how much smoother it looks lately, so I figured I’d share what worked.

1. The Pre-wash: I started using almond oil or parachute aloevera coconut oil once or twice a week. I just leave it on for an hour before showering.

2. The Wash: I switched to the soulflower rosemary tea tree shampoo. It’s been great for my scalp health. It also smells nice.

3. The Finish: I always use a tiny bit of dove conditioner on the ends.

It took about 6 months of being consistent to see this level of shine and smoothness, but it’s definitely worth the 10 extra minutes. If your hair feels like straw right now, just give this a shot for a few weeks... it actually makes a huge difference.

i realised today my bag has slowly turned into a survival kit and idk how it happened

like currently i have

lip balm

sunscreen

hair tie

mist (because stepping out = instant sweat)

face compact

and somehow still no space for anything useful??? 😭

i added the mist recently so i bought this dreaming of paris from nykaa wanderlust and it’s actually pretty easy to carry around so it’s become my go to

also idk why but i’ve been gravitating towards these very “vacation” smelling ones lately… like juicy berries, makes boring office days feel less boring lol

pls tell me i’m not the only one carrying half their house in their bag.
