hiring a cook & the convos around this process

hello, gonna keep this short because im just annoyed. ive been trying to hire a cook recently. i have a bunch of extended family as well in the society and they've been giving their inputs on this whole cook business.

it's just so weird how they're all like "paise vasool karna" (get ALL your money's worth), "poora faayda uthao" (ensure to take all the benefits you can), "don't trust her, be careful. keep watching her." etc etc.

i just feel so weird hearing this stuff. it feels exploitative, just feels wrong. i mean, they immediately started giving me ideas of everything we should ask her to cook and do... and it's all just so much?

just bothering me hearing these things being said, being exploitative packaged as your "right" for paying her money?

idk man just so weird, hate it

also, there was this one thing my cousin said - she said "usko acche se train karo" (train her well). i know my cousin didn't mean it that way but man it felt like she's talking about a dog - the way you talk about training your pets. "training humans" - it may not be so loaded but idk it just FEELS off?

do you get what i mean? i'm unable to articulate all this properly. i need to read some stuff on this topic. any recs?

superyou's protein is a MESS

i'm so annoyed man
i wish i WISH i had remembered to come on reddit before i bought superyou's unflavored protein powder this morning

this isn't exactly a review of the protein, this is more of a rant but if i had to rate it, these issues are enough for me to rate this like 1 or 2 out of 5 because wtffff

firstly, my bad i guess for buying from zepto cuz it arrived looking like someone dragged it through the street. fine. wtv. washed it, cut it and boom, that fine DUST starts flying everywhere.

i'm attaching a photo and i know it doesn't look too bad but trust me this was a nightmare to experience (esp. cuz i was nottt expecting it omg)

the scoop IS TERRIBLE. they put it in this plastic bag that's been shoved into the depths of this bag and it has SO MUCH POWDER COVERING IT.

you have to shake that shit off, which, this shit loves whatever it sticks onto and all the while you're trying to do this, this stuff is just FLYING EVERYWHERE IN THE AIR

i was like bhai why am i inhaling my protein‼️🤔

i hated it. cutting that bag open and trying to shake the protein off, then taking that scoop and using it... what a shit experience

when you go to scoop, all the powder around you is trying as hastily as possible to cling onto you and then when you turn the scoop over your shaker, bhai, the mess it makes slowly and then suddenly falling into your shaker??? SO ANNOYING. IT SPRAYED ANOTHER WHOLE BUNCH OF DUSTY PROTEIN EVERYWHERE

and im just standing there thinking, yaar all this protein is going to such waste AND i have to clean up shit now wtf.

i had the unflavored protein like i said, so the drink was wtv, i wasn't expecting it to be great but it was drinkable

this was way easier on my gut for sure than the whey ive been drinking but what a turn off of an experience

in the end, the bag doesn't even seal right. like wtaf man?? you had to give us 2 main things man - protein and a good box to put the protein in and a good scoop but fine this plastic crap i can put up with.

your protein is good i guess? but your bag is terrible!!! it does not seal right. it does not seal at all actually?

what are y'all doing exactly!!! i literally had to clip it up (until i find another container to put it in but im nervous im going to lose a bunch more powder if i do that)

anywayyyy that's my long rambling rant ab this powder

it may be great powder, might work better for me idk we'll see but i am not repurchasing this shit again

tldr: superyou's protein powder is too fine and flies everywhere when you use it. its bag also does not reseal properly and i learnt all of this the hard way today.

hi!

i was previously using the JBL tune 770NC

but they recently broke and im on the hunt for some good sounding wireless neckband headphones.

i'm not an audiophile as such but i do really want to hear my music clearly and hear the different instruments properly.

ive found very few options and i'm not really sure between them. i can only see 1 pair from sony (WI-C100) and oneplus ka ek (Z2 ANC).

i would also like a good mic for calling

otherwise, im open to higher budgets as well, depending on if you feel the quality is worth it. i want it to last.

any recs?
