why do cats suddenly become obsessed with one random spot in the house?

my cat will randomly pick one extremely specific spot in the apartment and suddenly act like its the most important place in existence for an entire week. then completely lose interest and move on to another random location
is there actually a reason cats do this or are they just tiny weird creatures?

Surfing taught me I’m not as in control as I thought I was

I went surfing thinking it would be chill and “flowy” like in videos.

Reality: the ocean does whatever it wants, and you’re just trying not to get humbled every 10 seconds

You can do everything right and still get wiped out by one random wave. It’s kinda funny how fast it shows you patience and humility.

I want to start making restaurant quality pizza at home, but I’m lost in the Amazon listings. I’m looking for something that can actually hit that proper leopard spotted crust, rather than just a glorified toaster oven. I have a decent budget, but I don't want to buy a pro level rig if I’m only cooking for two people on the weekends. Any recommendations?

I’ve been posting consistently but haven’t seen any real earnings yet.

I know it takes time, just trying to get a realistic timeline.

for those who are monetizing now - when did it start to click for you?

we are looking for a commercial cleaning company for a few business locations in ontario. main focus is consistency, reliable scheduling, and basic janitorial work done properly every time without needing constant follow-up.

spaces include small retail and office areas, so we need someone who can handle regular cleaning like floors, restrooms, and general upkeep.

we are trying to avoid companies that look good at the start but become inconsistent after a few weeks.

if anyone here has worked with a cleaning service in ontario that they would actually recommend long term, please share your experience.

I’ve noticed some books revolve around one element that shouldn’t be that important but somehow becomes the center of everything, like food in Like Water for Chocolate or the way meals and family tie everything together in Butter Honey Pig Bread

I’m looking for that kind of writing where a simple thing quietly takes over the tone of the whole book

what comes to mind for you and why did it work?
