ctvnews.caOntario's Bill 107 – Stop Harmful Gambling Advertising Act, 2026
Introduced April 20, 2026, this bill would ban online gambling sites from advertising in Ontario. It comes in response to a 144% spike in addiction-related calls after Ontario privatized online gambling in 2022, with the sharpest increases among men aged 15–24.
Violations would carry fines of up to $100,000 for individuals and $1,000,000 for corporations. A second conviction means automatic loss of operating registration. Currently at 1st Reading.
