What would trolls be like in this universe?

They’re rather similar to gargoyles; big and strong, mythical humanoids that turn to stone when the sun rises. Could they be closely related, or are they synonymous with the gargoyle race and are just what Scandinavian humans referred to them as?

It’s pretty amazing how Monarch included comic-original monsters.

I’m pretty sure it was a shock for most of us seeing the vinestranglers and psychovulture on-screen in Season 2. Usually, the mainstream films ignore the existence of the tie-in media and leave them as non-canon in the end, but that’s not the case here. I hope we get to see more monsters from previous media, like the Sirenjaw and death jackals, or maybe we can finally see the Spirit Tiger.

What if there were a few individuals that, much like Demona, were the sole survivors of their dead clans and are left to survive as nomads or hermits? Maybe they could be introduced as new protagonists that could even join the Manhattan clan? The Manhattan clan’s population is gonna need new members to repopulate, and I feel like it would get a bit old if they just kept getting new volunteers moving from other living clans like the ones in London or Japan. (Plus, I bet those clans could be suffering from a shortage of population too so they can’t just keep lending members to others.)

This could even give the opportunity to introduce new variants of gargoyles that served as inspiration for other IRL myths like Indonesia’s Ahool or the Garuda from South Asian legend, without retconning the number of surviving clans Greg Weisman already named.

There were a whole bunch of them roaming around. Must have been a migrating flock.
