So My wife finally watched Gargoyles....
......and the obvious happened. She found herself fascinated about how sexy she thought Goliath was. Sigh. I should have known.
My pick would be either Peter Dinklage (whom I believe needs no introductions).
What would trolls be like in this universe?
They’re rather similar to gargoyles; big and strong, mythical humanoids that turn to stone when the sun rises. Could they be closely related, or are they synonymous with the gargoyle race and are just what Scandinavian humans referred to them as?
Should Talon & his Group get there own Spin-off Comic?
That is my Question
I am a big fan of Mutanimals from IDW Ninja Turtles Comics I noticed Talon & his group is a lot like them parallel to how Goliath & his group fill-in the role of the Ninja Turtles
So Think would be interesting to see Manhattan save but not by Goliath h his team but them still playing support in the story maybe introduce a Casey Jones type character to the Gargoyles universe to while there added
I really wanna see what that comic would be like for art I go with Juan Gedeon I really like his art on recent COW Boys of Moo Mesa comic book miniseries over at Oni Press for NacelleVerse comic line
So yeah
But that's me what do you think?
Art by George Kambadais
What subjects should I research to create a series like gargoyles?
i know gargoyles was a very ambitious project back in the days and involves king arthur and Shakespeare.
In 2023 I ventured into the woods and I had found an awesome gargoyle statue! I took these pictures on Halloween night! That's why you can see a witch hat in one of my pictures ✨
That is my Question
Well Dynamite is no stranger to Original Graphic Novels with Disney they did that Graphic Novel adaptation of that Nightmare before Christmas Novel plus Dynamite own retelling of the Wizard of Oz & just the most resent
I really like to see Gargoyles Graphic Novel probably one set in the Past leave the present day stuff for the monthly ongoings or miniseries
For Art I really wanna see Robert Hack I like his art on Chilling Adventure of Sabrina & I think he fit Gargoyles well his done STAR WARS Adventure before so he is no stranger to Disney to focus on one of the cast who is important yet doesn't get enough panel time
But that's me what do you think would make a good Gargoyles Original Graphic Novel?
Art by Ken Haeser
While becoming a husband and father certainly softened him and as of Hunter's Moon, he saved the Clan after they become public and has become their benefactor. However, they know one good deed doesn't completely redeem you especially after everything he has done and is capable of so of course, they don't trust him. How can they continue a Xanatos redemption arc?
If they crossed over with the TMNT who should the Manhattan Clan and The Hamato Clan fight against
My second Gargoyles script in my Collection. Episode Legion, signed by the late Ed Asner.
Not sure if this was his specific script or not but
there are markings throughout the script where it is
Hudson's dialogue. Regardless its an awesome find
I only wish I was able to find more Gargoyles
scripts.
If you're a Gargoyles fan....
...you gotta know that the species has their own way of doing things. Find out what by clicking here!
So, there is one thing about the show, that is never explicitly stated, but is canon, and that turns the show much darker, imho.
And this is, that most of the Gargoyle characters actually had killed. When asked, Greg Weisman confirmed :
EXALT writes...
I've recently rewatched Awakening, and the scene where Goliath tells Demona that she can't kill an enemy unless it is "in the heat of battle " sparked a question in me: as of Phoenix, which members of the Manhattan Clan have actually killed someone?
Greg responds...
Most have, in battle , in the tenth century. Angela hasn't. Egwardo hasn't. Nashville hasn't. Maybe Lex & Broadway haven't. But that seems unlikely/unrealistic.
Oh, and if you're counting her, Elisa hasn't.

So, as a kid I always assumed that they kind of were like Batman, mainly scaring their enemies away or handing them over to Elisa without actually harming them.
but then again, with this background information, this particularly scene in Awakening part 5, when Goliath is about to drop Xanatos and Elisa stops him becomes *so* much more meaningful:
Goliath: "give me one good reason not to drop him"
Elisa: "If you kill him, you are the same as him"
So, If you just watch it, without that knowledge, this seems like a nothing burger, because you'd assume that Goliath first and foremost wants to show Xanatos not to fuck with him but ultimately spare his life, because he is the good guy, right? but If you know, that he had a body count, this changes the scene. With this in mind, Elisa telling him to spare Xanatos' life she might have fundamentally changed his way to deal with his enemies and how crucial Elisa 's role is in helping the Gargoyles to become the actual good guys, because otherwise, they would just be vigilantes who kill people they deem to dangerous to be left alive
