I wasn't even planning on buying The Mummy for my collection... And I bloody ended up with two of them! 😂

I actually think i'm going to be good at this game. I'm obviously keeping one and selling the other, but I always check the discs obviously and I'm bizarrely really good at it. I flew through the first level and even Melee'd some Mummies with the fire torch. The game is scary. I'm vibing with it more than when I played Silent Hill on an emulator years ago. Maybe this will be my expensive "survival horror" for the collection. Definitely worthy of a Let's Play when I can get around to it. Universal's PS1 adaptations are like underrated good. I also loved Xena: Warrior Princess for PS1, but that was actually done "in-house" by Universal Interactive. The music score they rip from the movie does a HELL of a lot of heavy lifting.

Bought some PS1 games in bulk while building my own collection to sell below market rates

I won't always be selling PS1 games, I'm just doing it while I'm collecting for myself, but I'm happy for others to get a bargain as these will otherwise just go straight to CEX to fund somebody's RAM Stick.

Everything is at least €10 less than CEX, and actually tested. RESI 3 is €20 less but read the description on that one!

GTA Collectors isn't below market rate though. Find them on vinted: "timmycandkylie" Enjoy!

Boxes with 26 year old History

Upgraded my Disc Only’s to Complete in box collection after falling in love with the first game. Look at these historical stickers. The first one is obviously BlockBuster, for UK Gamers, does anyone recognize the sticker on Dino Crisis 2?

Small, Intimate PAL PlayStation 1 collection he said...

In fairness the Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver SEALED was gifted to me by a place I regularly buy from.

The only games I can guarantee are staying are Tomb Raider 1-5, Xena Warrior Princess and Dino Crisis 1 which I loved. (I need to still play Dino 2)

I bought Crash because I didn't click with the remaster, if I like these ones I'll keep them, if not I'll sell them. I love Classic Resident Evil but if Capcom release a PS5 MGS Collection style collection on disc I'd sell those too!

I sold MGS to other folks but I just got my hands on the MGS Collection vol 1, that will be how I experience that for the first time.

In general I'm only trying to collect games that have been abandoned and not ported, but Tomb Raider is my thing hence the protective case on the first edition, but the remasters are the best way to play those.

What you can't tell from this photo is I've done that obsessive thing where each game has every insert, survey card etc. I bought some of those games multiple times to collect all the paperwork. Was extra paper work a big thing in America?

Which shelf do I put this franchise on 😂

Ended up with both Crimson Sea’s collected at different times and at much cheaper prices. The first was an Xbox exclusive, the second exclusive to PlayStation 2.

Does it go on the PS2 shelf, the Xbox shelf or get its own 😜

Trading in Retro PlayStations fully working, but controller is Yellowed

Hey there,

I've a question. If I trade in a Retro PlayStation 1 with a matching official dualshock controller, if that controller is yellowed does that go through as discounted? Trying to figure out if I'm better off giving the dual shock controller which works perfectly but just yellow'ed to time or just give a cheaper spare official Sony digital controller (no analog sticks) which hasn't yellowed. Obviously there's no point giving the dual shock analog controller if the yellowing means it goes as discounted as that's worth less than a digital controller given.

The PlayStation itself is in perfect colour and hasn't yellowed over time.

Got my hands on a Rare Official Sony PS1 Disc Wallet “Barbie Race & Ride”

You know the black one - you’ve seen the purple Spyro 2 Gateway to Glimmer one… But did you know they made a pink one the same year as Spyro, but for Barbie’s debut on the PlayStation 1!?

So rare it’s in the “unheard of” category so I got it for just €10 with discs of Cool Boarders 2 and 007 Tomorrow Never Dies! 😂

Hello,
This may seem odd but it's actually something I need a definitive answer although it is leaning towards SCART.

Can somebody who owns a PAL Sega Saturn with their instruction manual tell me what was the official Video cable that came with the Sega Saturn OEM. Was it actually SCART? Or was it Composite cable RCA or an RFU adapter like the PlayStation 1.

Nobody has archived the European PAL instruction manual, only the American NTSC one which definitively came with a Composite RCA Cable.

I just find it hard to believe that the Saturn would come with a SCART cable if 99% of the listings on eBay include a Composite RCA cable.

Very random, obviously you can buy any cable you want. I'm just trying to get a definitive answer on what video cable Sega actually put in the box with the Saturn machine back in 1995 in Europe. Thank you! :)
