I’ve had the Panasonic Leica DG 25mm f1.4 II on my OM-5 for a while now, and it’s easily my all-time favorite. Naturally, I was excited to try the DG 15mm f1.7. I opted for the DJI version since I can’t use the aperture ring on an Olympus body anyway, and it was half the price. However, after some testing, I’m just not feeling it. Maybe I don’t like the 15mm FOV, and the colors seem significantly more bland compared to the 25mm. I tried using it for some close-up shots, but the distortion was too much for me to accept. For my style, the 25mm beats it in every single way. Thinking about letting this one go—am I missing something, or is the 25mm just that much better?

Actually I finished designing this by the beginning of this year. For base + 2exps.

I love the design process, am proud of the outcome (it’s kinda a modular system) but absolutely hate to write the descriptions of how this works and how to put everything together. Also there’s like a hundred different insert designs already so I’m not sure if it’s worth it. What do you think?
