Personally I like the way the neon looks when kept further away from the grow lights.

I love that dark color with the iridescent leaves... The spiral leaves lightly dappled in yellow.

And the new emergents a gorgeous purple color? Good lawd!

I'm convinced this is how it's should look.

She grows slow back there in the back, but every leaf is a feast for the eyes.

SCORE!

Just came up on an Epipremnum Golden Flame.

Also called Cintho Goldfinger?

I don't care either way, it's awesome.

Collecting Pothos like it's my job, and today, I got a raise.

Champs Elysees

I absolutely adore these Champs Elysees.

Those gills are incredible.

I had bought 2 neons prior due to mild bits of sport variegation, but tbt, I was honestly just wanting THIS version.

I was super stoked when I saw it pop up at Lowe's.

I skipped it over the first time, and them spent the next 2 days thinking about it.

Went back and grabbed it.

No FOMO here. Not gonna live in regert

Epipremnum albo

These are my 2 Epipremnum albos.

Vastly different in how they grow and show.

One of them shows out with a lot of half moons and really pretty variegation, while the other has smokey whispers of white and many shades of green.

If I had to choose, I'd take the half moon over the smokey wisps, but thankfully I don't have to.

Both are kept in exactly the same conditions. Directly under lights.

One is on a moss pole, and the other on a coco pole just bc I had it.

I'm going to try and size up the plant with those half moons as large as I can push them to get.

The other can just trail all over in its juvenile form. I'm just gonna let that one do whatever the hell it wants.

Blue oil fern

I'm actually pretty excited about this.

Just got it yesterday, so all of that damage was done prior to my owning it.

The camera didn't do too well picking up the blue oil slick color, but it's there.

I might mount it like a staghorn.

I have a cool piece of cork bark.

I have visions of this, an orchid, and a lightning orchid all living on the same piece of wood.

Hoping that idea comes to fruition.

What would you do with it?

Maharani

When I saw it in the store, originally I thought it was a melo because of the texture, but the grey color was off.

I love the circular shape of the younger leaves.

Hoping it keeps that shape, but the newest emergent is more elongated.

Prob not.

Whatever the case, it's awesome.

Love this plant.

Bisma.

I don't think the photo does it justice.

This plant has quadrupled in size since I got it. It's getting huge.

Labeled as a quicksilver at home depot.

They can call it what they want, I just call it MINE.

How big is yours? Can you share a pic?

Stingray

Got this as a gift a few years back. It was a tiny singular plant wrapped in plastic.

Now it's two. They live on my air fryer in my kitchen and love it there.

They overlook my problematic Polly that has died off more times than I can count.

Maybe the Polly looks up and sighs... Just throws in the towel.

Very thankful for these stingray

I didn't know what I had been given, and once I researched...

I became addicted to Alocasia.

Red Secret

bid on, and won this Red Secret on Whatnot.

When it arrived it was like 10 times smaller than what I bid on, and the tag said red cuprea.

Idk what kinda camera they were using, but it def added 10 lbs.

I don't think many people know the difference between the red cuprea and the red secret, but I'm not even going to know definitively until it blooms.

Regardless of what it is, I'm happy to add it to the collection, and it was only like 12 bucks plus shipping (21 total)

That's a good deal for a cool plant.

It was packaged well, and it seems happy.

I will take the win

Verrucosum Question

So I've attached a few pics.

Hoping you can help.

My leaves all have some crazy spots on them.

Regular feedings with super thrive foliage pro...on a MP, under a humidifier. Grouped with plants to up the humidity. Pebble trays of water in the vicinity. Plenty of light.

Got a ton of new growth and it's rooted into the pole really well. BUT...

All of the new growth shows up speckled.

Edit: SPIDER MITES. treated with captain jacks insecticidal soap. Hopefully that solves the issue. Also have neem oil, but that shit stinks up the whole house. I'm gonna wait a few days and check again...

Gonna have to inpect my whole jungle. Such is life.

Thank you for your input. Means the world to me

Paraiso Verde

She a little wonky with that new emergent, but app things considered, a beautiful plant for 5 bucks. Love having it in my collection.

What does yours look like?

u/Iamrhizomorph — 4 days ago

My syngonium albo has decided it wants to have a completely albino branch...except for the huge masses of green it's decided were enough contribution to the betterment of the plant.

Honestly, most of the growth of late has been smaller and misshapen, so these perfectly formed leaves are a blessing. I will take it.

I chopped this plant back quite a few times... I have so many of this plant now, I don't know what to do with them... But I can't bring myself to throw any cuttings away, ever.

I can't be the only one stacking plants like it's my job.

What do you have too many of?

u/Iamrhizomorph — 9 days ago

Got a jacklyn and a v. Frydek.

They've both been on my wishlist for some time now.

The frydek has a bunch of white, but it looks like the next emergent has some color, so that's good.

Hoping they survive.

I only want 2 of every alocasia on the planet.

I don't think that's too much to ask.

I was curious if anyone else has the issue of the melanochrysum poking holes in its own leaves.

AI told me that the younger plants are notorious for that, but idk if that's true.

I have a humidifier right there, and it's on a moss pole.

Tbt, prior to it being on the MP it kept aborting leaves left and right. I didn't have very high hopes.

I saw Sydney plant guy with his melanochrysum looking super incredible on a MP. I wanted that too so here we are.

The plant is definitely grabbing into the pole at almost every node now.

The latest leaf is noticeably larger than the one prior, but it too has multiple tears in it.

Seeing how the plant has already reached the top of the pole, I'm wondering if I should cut it in hopes it fills out, or just extend it and save that chore forsomwehredown the line.

What would you do?

u/Iamrhizomorph — 12 days ago

I can't be the only one that vibes so hard on these colors.

This is exactly what it looks like right now, no color correction.

Unfortunately, the plant only has 3 leaves total, and the other 2 are not great, so let's just take a moment to enjoy THIS leaf.

There's a new leaf just peaking out ever so slightly.. At least I hope it's a new leaf. Don't need any flowers.

When I bought it, it was the last one, and had been skipped over for obvious reasons.

I was not deterred.

Recently repotted semi hydro. Leca and sphagnum.

She seems to be responding.

Share some pics of your Azlanii with me, won't you?

I need some inspiration!

I flippin love this plant.

I wish thatitcame through on the photos, but when you look at the leaves from different directions it looks like an iridescent oil slick... And the leaves are fuzzy, and it feels like you're petting a soft animal.

They undersides of the leaves have the prettiest purple hue, too.

I was excited to add this one to my collection.

I may not have all the expensive variegated ones yet, but the collection is growing

u/Iamrhizomorph — 16 days ago

Crazy how this plant thrives way in the back.

Granted, when I set up that shelf the silver sword was about 6 inches tall, but that ivory coast can't be stopped.

Seems like all the corms in the pot have sprouted as well. Prob time to size up the pot.
