Can I expand the Android Auto screen like I was able to with CarPlay?

Can I expand the Android Auto screen like I was able to with CarPlay?

Switched from an iPhone to an Android phone and noticed the little arrow that's normally on the left hand side of the display isn't there. I can't figure out a way to expand the screen, is it possible?

Removed the pickguard on my Les Paul 🍯

I picked this beauty up about a month ago and kept seeing posts about people removing the pick guards. I was hesitant at first, but decided to remove it and I’m glad I did. I feel like it made the guitar more of “my own”. Plus I banged the headstock on the ceiling a couple times since owning it and got a couple of battle scars, so now I feel like the initial “babying it” phase is over.

Best case for the S26U for someone who’s never used a case?

iPhone user who made the change to a Galaxy S26U, first Android in over a decade. I normally go naked on my devices but without AppleCare I think I’ll get a case this year.

Looking at a Supcase, MagBak, Torras, and Spigen. I don’t really care how bulky they are - the phone is massive as it is. What case do you suggest? Trying not to spend over $70 on a case and maybe I’ll get a screen protector but most likely not.

Thanks

For those wanting a wireless headphone amp, look no further.

The Positive Grid Spark Neo is probably the best investment I’ve made. No wires, great battery life, the amp sims and AI generator is awesome. As a Dad who tends to practice later in the evening when my kids sleeping across the hall, this is a game changer.

From WRX to “Boring Dad Vehicle” - Maverick XL AWD Hybrid Review

Figured I’d share my Maverick. Picked it up in January—XL AWD Hybrid with basically every option available on the XL trim.

Paid about MSRP OTD, which included a 7yr/100k Ford PremiumCARE Extended Service Plan for $1900 (beat Granger Ford pricing).

Mods so far are tint, tires, dashcam, and a tailgate assist (honestly regret that one—it makes opening the tailgate painfully slow). Otherwise keeping it stock. I usually heavily mod my cars (looking at you, WRX), so it’s actually kind of refreshing to have a simple, “boring vehicle.”

For reference, my WRX was pushing ~450whp on E85 with about $10k in mods on the stock block. Fun, but it always felt like a ticking time bomb. Now that I’m a homeowner, I wanted something more practical, and I’ve always liked the Mavericks.

I work from home, so it’s only got ~2k miles in 4 months—mostly gym runs and daycare duty. Already hauled a couch and a stove, so it’s been solid when I actually need “truck stuff.” With spring here, planning some dump runs and cleaning out the basement/garage.

How’d I do?

I love this thing. I’ve owned sports cars (WRX, Audis) and full-size trucks, and this just fits my life right now. I’m 6'1", 300 lbs, and it’s roomier than you’d expect, drives more like a sedan, easy to park, and surprisingly nimble.

Super happy with the Mav.
