I am planning to get an ace of spades tattoo, just simply because it is my favourite card (with a cool design) from a childhood deck. If I go ahead with this could it be viewed as symbolic? I saw that ace of spades had meaning in the Vietnam war and is considered a token of death, but Im not American. Are there any other meanings to it? Would you advise against it? Also does just simply having the ‘spade’ differ in meaning to the ace of spades?

Hey does anybody have any recommendations on what is the best poetry anthology that includes poems of all genres? I am new to poetry and would love to get into analysing them, but I have no clue what I’m drawn to yet.
I have tried so hard to stop sugar consumption, the main advice thats worked and helps is simply not buying chocolate, but living with family that is not an option. I have a massive sweet tooth and I have a sort of ‘now or never’ mindset towards it and most food. Unfortunately this has led to me putting on alot of weight and extreme acne. I feel awful. It makes it harder as my family also comments on the treats like ‘are you not going to have any?’ or leave them lying around. Please does anyone have advice? Already tried talking to my family about this but they dont care/ want the treats fo themselves which I get.
