Chelsea fans, I was wondering now that we’re in May and it’s now the business end of the WSL season and we have a Women’s Fa Cup semifinal to play for this Sunday, we win that and then we go back to the Final come the last day of the month. Transfer rumors and links are starting to come out and all that. Who is a free agent that you hope and would love for the club to sign? For me I’m going with Alexia Putellas, I saw her getting emotional when being substituted in the UWCL semifinal 2nd leg against Bayern Munich yesterday and it had me thinking maybe this could be her last season as a Barcelona player. Her contract expires this summer but she has an option to extend it for 2026/2027. I personally think this team can do with one extra Midfield signing and I would love to see a midfield trio of Putellas, Cuthbert, and Kaptein or Hamano. She is a game changer and would boost our chances of challenging for and winning the Champions League next season as she has that experience. She’s only 32 and still performing well and putting insane numbers.If not Putellas, what free agent or potential free agent would you love for the club to sign come this offseason? Alright so two key things that I got from this pre game press conference yesterday is that Bompastor said that Beaver Jones will be available for the game away to Leicester tomorrow and when she was asked about summer recruitment and transfer windows in the later and the players that she would like to bring in, she said that she is involved in every conversation and that she will always have a word to say and nothing is going to be different. Sonia also stated that she and the recruitment team are working together and’s recognizing what players they need to bring in for the summer and the future to make sure that the team maintains their ambition in the women’s game. Let’s see how it all pans out come this offseason then.👀
