Anyone had as only symptoms hair loss an depression?

I am seeing my dr next month. Serum B12 is 650 but my MCV is high at 103 (ferritin low, other RBC within normal ranges). I suspect functional B12 deficiency but my only symptoms are those two as I am aware of. I don't feel fatigued.

Could it be? TIA

Can COPD cause macrocytosis?

I have bronchiectasis which pneumo stated as COPD. I don't smoke and I breath with no problems. But I get pleghm frequently.

I always had high MCV around 100 and last one is 102.8

I ate plenty of B12 and folate food. Can macrocytosis be a cause of COPD?

Can serum B12 be 650 but still have deficiency?

I keep reading B12 serum test is not accurate but 650 is high, isn't it? Folate is 22.

Still with those numbers my MCV is high (normal hemoglobin). Help me, please

Macrocytic anemia with low ferritin?

37F

55k

173 cm

I have bronchiectasis. No meds

I know that low iron causes microcytosis but my MCV is always high (currently 102.3) and B12 and folate levels within normal ranges (690 and 19).

Ferritin is low at 21.

How could this be? I don't smoke, drink ocassionally.

RBC is 3740000

Hg 12.7

Hematocrit 40%

WBC 6400

Platalets 350000

Is there any explanation to this? Thank you

38F Overall healthy. My routine bloodwork has always shown high MCV, at least for the last 10 years (around 100) and lately its been 102.

All other counts within normal ranges.

I feel fine. No smoker, not an alcoholic and B12 and folate within normal ranges.

Has anyone had as a first and only indicator of MDS high MCV?

Overall healthy. No meds.

10 days ago I had the flu (fever, headaches, runny nose, cough) that lasted 6 days. Today, day 10 after the first symptoms, I had routine bloodwork done and RBC came back low (3740000), hemoglobin borderline low at 12. Normal WBC and platalets. Could the virus have affected RBC?

Can the flu lower RBC? I had routine bloodwork done 10 days after the flu (fever, headache, congestion) and RBC and hemoglobin came back low. Normal platalets and WBC. RBC and hemoglobin were normal before.
