I know spoiled kids have existed for ages but recently i feel like its gotten worse and id love to know why, working at dollar general every parent that comes in here thinks its funny when their kids dont listen and they give in. Or i get the latest “my kid asked for something that will put me in debt and instead of being the adult i am and saying no i got it!” Tiktok on my fyp almost everyday. Is it just me or has spoiling gotten worse??
Ive never personally found this cute or funny, watching parents or grandparents argue with their child for 20 minutes straight about how they refuse to buy some toy or candy for the kid. Then later they walk up to register with the toy(or in my case TWO toys they were told they cant have) sometimes the kid will even do some victory dance and i honestly dont understand why adults think its cute and i say that cause theyre walk up laughing about it!
Talked about a customer to another customer
Person A asked me about things i answered truthfully but she didnt exactly respond much so i was confused on if she believed me. Asked Person B if they could pick up on her language..if she believed what i was telling her. And unfortunately person A’s daughter was in the line and didnt find it funny at all and told me how unprofessional it is to talk about other customers to other customers so i expect to get a complaint calling later. Is the most i can get a write up? Or will i be fired
Befriended a key holder, same age range as me and liked the same stuff i liked so i thought it would be chill. Mom told me to never befriend coworkers especially managers and god i wish i listened, while the key in question was acting like my buddy she in the background threw me under the bus and claimed i was the reason nothing was getting done 😔
So often times, ill have a customer come in either they will mess up or their kid will act up. Ill tell them “its fine” or “no big deal” cause honestly i dont care and they will freak out, sometimes ive seen them just absolutely rage at this going on a tangent about how its NOT FINE at all. Any way i can tell someone it doesnt matter to me without them thinking im defending what they view as inappropriate behavior?
This group of teens recently got hired, one of which was made a key, and my manager keeps whining about them apparently getting nothing done. From what i understand none of these kids were given the proper training and just got thrown into the ring and my managers are aware of this but keep crying anyway?
Mom comes up with her kid, the kid starts acting up and the mom says “mussely faith” i thought i misheard, then she said it again and it was infact mussely faith. Like mussel. Never heard such a name before wondering if it means anything
So this guys wife has a cart full of stuff, i don’t remember ever ringing up her items and she leaves the store anyway. I tell my manager she goes out and confronts them and i guess they got mad cause she storms in and hollers at me for “making her look stupid” asking me what the hell my problem is then saying some other mean words as if she’s a child. Is this my fault?
