PMDD and addiction
Discussion post
There is so much research that could and should be done with PMDD (and many other issues women deal with) but hey, we gotta make sure the men never have to suffer pain or discomfort of any sort.
Anyway I'm interested in hearing from fellow sufferers where you are at with addictions.
I only learned a few years ago addiction runs deep on my father's side and I think there may be some on my mother's side but not commonly known, unsure though.
Anyway I've had to come to terms with me having a very addictive personality, I have addiction issues with food, sugar and after my gastric sleeve surgery I started abusing alcohol.
I take edibles to help with my diagnosed insomnia and when my PMDD symptoms are very bad. But I have to really be on guests to make sure I don't end up addicted and it does scare me.
If you feel comfortable in participating, I would like to see if there could be a pattern of addiction for women with PMDD,, perhaps as a result of self medicating to cope with our symptoms.
Happy to hear any thoughts and opinions
