Really need help on possible purchases

Hi everybody,

I've been, since yesterday, looking for a new laptop to buy. A prebuilt one. My budget is between 1000 to 1500€ (1 154$ to 1 731$) or maybe a little more if I have a "love at first sight" kind of feeling for one. I heard Legions were good but I can't seem to find a good one and I need advices from y'all. That would be my very first gaming laptop on which I intend to really play. The one I use right now was, when I first bought it, labeled as "gaming laptop" but I've never used it for that, to be honest. It's a Lenovo Ideapad L340 17IRH with Intel Core I5 9th gen, with 8gb of ram and a GeForce 1050). I'd really love a 16 or close laptop. I'm used to big screeens!

I would have loved to have your thoughts on these ones: Lenovo Legion 5 16IRX9 16'' Intel Core i7-14650HX, RAM 16Gb, SSD 512Gb, NVIDIA RTX 4060 8Gb, Windows 11 Home

HP Omen 16 16" AMD Ryzen AI 7 350, RAM 32 Gb, SSD 1024 Gb, Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 8Go, Windows 11 (This one is really cool because of the big SSD, nice RAM)

I don't know much about graphic cards and very little about CPUs so bare with me!

I'm not a huge gamer but would like to play some nice games smoothly. Maybe not in 4K but a good machine!

Thanks y'all!

Choices...[HP Omen 16]

Hello all,

So, I'm looking for a new computer. I found three of them and two of them are Omen 16 PCs. Here are the configurations for each of them:

FHD IPS 144Hz, AMD Ryzen AI 7 350, RAM 32 Go, SSD 1024 Go, Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 8Go, Windows 11 (The most expensive of the bunch)

FHD IPS 144hz, Intel Core Ultra 5 225H, RAM 16 Go, SSD 512 Go, Nvidia GeForce RTX 5050, Windows 11 (The affordable one, I heard bad stuff about the 5050 though more on that later)

And this one which is a Victius : FHD IPS 144 Hz, Intel Core i7-14650HX, RAM 16 Go, SSD 512 Go, Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 8Go, Windows 11 the best bang for your buck of 'em all. It's a really good deal plus I have 25% off right now

Now that it's out of the way, I'm looking for a laptop that's running smoothly (which I guess all of them do lol), on where I can multitask easy, play some video games although not the first thing on my mind (I'm just getting into the PC gaming stuff and I'm not a huge gamer)

I heard that the Victius is good BUT the finish is kind of muh and plastic and heat can really get in the way? Also the SSD is tiny! What do you all think?

I think I'm going to have to choose between the three of them. Otherwise I keep adding one and another one in the thing and it's never ending lol

Oh and my current setup (which is OLD!) : Intel Core i5 9th generation, with a NVIDIA GeForce 1050 and 8go of ram. In anycase I think It's going to be a big gap. Note that I don't play on my current setup (or like very cool stuff like The Sims and stuff like that but I do would like to run bigger stuff like Red Dead Redemption II or the latest FIFA game...)

Thanks for your input, and everything in advance, really means a lot. If y'all need anything from me to help me decide, please ask away!

Need your opinions on setup

Hi all,

I'm looking to get a new laptop these days and I stumbled upon this one: https://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B0FB3TYGL8/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A1X6FK5RDHNB96&psc=1

I'm looking for a pretty smooth experience, I'm not a huge gamer so I just want to be able to run games without too much problems, I heard the 5050 has a bad rep. I definitely don't want to build my own, I'm too lazy and I don't know much about anything so please no hate lol

What do y'all think? Should I go for it? It seems to be a pretty good deal but then again I don't know a lot about that.

Thank you!

Edit: I forgot to say my current one is a Lenovo IdeaPad L340-17IRH that I bought years ago!
