TRASH USELESS THIEVING RAT BASTARDS EVER

So, these fuckers have some phone number not associated with my 90 year old father on his internet/mobile account and refuse, I mean absolutely refuse, to fix it. He can't log in to the account, cause, guess what, they send a security code to a phone number he has no connection to! MANY HOURS MANY YEARS MANY NUMBERS MANY STORES NO ONE GIVE A FUCK. Give us the code we sent to the number you don't have! Absolutely UNREAL.

Ventilation / lack thereof - need ideas, please.

Ok, so I bought a 1950'ish house 6 years ago. Late 2023 I decided to get get MUCH better attic insulation, solar, and since the roof/shingles weren't old but not new, decided to do it all basically at the same time. Had several insulation, roof and solar folks out for estimates.

My understanding of the ventilation since I bought it was that I had soffit vents every few feet around the perimeter. Two gable vents, one at either side of the house. (bust bigger and triangular compared to the below diagram, so not sure that is the correct term) NO ridge vent.

So, long story short, basically all of them said that if I was getting a new roof to get a ridge vent and close off the "gables" since the soffit vents would be more than adequate.

That's what I did. Ridge vent, closed off gable vents, so much insulation no one can even get from one of the house to another without busting through the ceilings.

Here's the problem. A few feet of my soffits got blown off. Including one section of the "perforated" metal that would imply air flow/venting - but it was solid plywood underneath. Never thought a thing of it while I got many more estimates just to tack up the fallen soffit - absolutely INSANE estimates I might add. But one guy mentioned, y'know the perforated soffits aren't doing jack.

So, now, I have a ridge vent, no gable vents, apparently (although who knows, maybe SOME of the perforated soffits actually do have the wood behind them cutout) no soffit venting, no one can do anything in my attic because of the 2 feet of insulation lol. Not one estimator for insulation/roof/solar said boo about - y'know, these soffit vents that you think you have - even though you'd think they could see a little light see-through, naw, leave the gables alone.

Ideas?

Ok, no idea where to even start with this other than sitting on the phone with Spectrum/AT&T for 117,985 hours to accomplish absolutely nothing. (I've dealt with both and it wasn't pleasant let alone prompt.)

Apparently Spectrum showed up at my father's (90 y/o) house 2-3 days ago asking to go into his back yard to access their lines on the power/telephone pole to ---- no idea, to rig up a neighbor for internet?

Surprisingly, he said yes - typically he's quite ornery and would have told them to F OFF - but this time apparently made an exception.

So, they did whatever they did, and now his AT&T fiber line/cable is TWO FEET off the ground. (I'd say the 90 year old dude was being hyperbolic but he happened to have the HVAC guy there who confirmed it)

Spectrum told my father they would call AT&T to "fix it" (why is that their issue? apparently Spectrum jacked it up) but obviously nothing has happened.

What would be the next step - other than spending the rest of my life on the phone with one passing the buck to the other?
