Hello,

 

My RTX 3080 has started crashing and I’m trying to figure out if it’s dying.

 

Symptoms:

·         Screen goes black

·         GPU fans instantly ramp to 100%

·         PC stays on, Discord audio continues

·         No driver recovery, requires reboot

·         Happens in games like Valheim, especially at higher settings

 

My system:

·         RTX 3080

·         i9‑10900F

·         Corsair RM750x

·         ASUS ROG STRIX B460‑H

·         Latest NVIDIA drivers (DDU clean install)

 

What I’ve tried:

·         DDU + clean driver reinstall

·         Forced PCIe to Gen 3

·         Reseated GPU + checked power cables

·         Underclocked core (–100 MHz) and memory (–200 MHz)

·         Lowered Power Limit to 80%

·         Lowered in‑game settings (helps slightly but still crashes)

 

Still crashing.

 

Any adivce

Any advice on what the issue could be and if anyone else has had this issue?
