Crown Zenith doing what we knew Crown Zenith would eventually do. Sales are still consistently above current market price so there’s still momentum here.
I saw an eBay Live stream in my eBay homepage feed and said sure, I’ll take a look. Why not? There are literally mfs out there bidding $60-$80 at a 1/3 CHANCE of getting some sort of collection box, ranging from $20 sticker boxes to booster boxes worth a few hundred dollars; it’s usually the sticker box if it even hits that 1/3 chance. The other 2/3 odds are for a single Japanese booster pack. People have become completely brain dead addicted to these online streams.
Collector side of me is asking why tf would you do that. Investor side is asking why wouldn’t you if the card has potential to climb.
I bought some Pokemon card slabs that come in an eBay sleeve with the Authenticity Guarantee QR code stickied on the seal. Thinking about keeping the seal and sleeve intact in case I need to sell years down the line. But would the QR code still even be active by then? By that I mean would it still take me to the page verifying the item and authenticity? Or would it just expire and redirect me on the website?
Personally, I think the Galarian Gallery art goes so hard (I only posted some of the top chases here as examples). Other than the Mewtwo, the pop for the other chases are about the same as other modern sets. But somehow, they are all still below $1k in PSA 10 which is wild to me, though they’ve been climbing. Is CZ severely undervalued right now or the is there overall consensus that the other sets are just better?
If this goes through, does the fact that GameStop only works with PSA mean that they will also try to nudge out the other grading companies on eBay via promoted posts, etc.? I haven’t thought about how exactly it could happen but if I was CGC or TAG, the acquisition would seem like something I don’t want.
