Tried to take a cute pic of my babies since I was cleaning their tubs and I don’t have a pic of them together. I guess my camera doesn’t like the contrast between the two and decided that Calypso my melanistic baby is a void.
Hi! I’m 23F, former smoker, 5’6 160lbs, drink energy drinks, tea and coffee. Not currently on medications but I do have the kyleena IUD. Previously diagnosed with thalassemia, anemia, OCD, anxiety, ADHD, aura migraines, Connective tissue EDS (never tested for cardiac), and I think that’s it? I may be forgetting some other previous diagnoses. I do go to the gym 4-5 days a week. Before I was on the depo shot and didn’t get my period while on it for the past 5 years..
Since getting the IUD in August 2025, every time I get my period recently, the week prior I get flu symptoms. They’re so bad to the point I cannot work and have to guzzle anti inflammatory medications. I will shake from being so cold, have a fever, muscle weakness, fatigue, runny/stuffy nose, sore throat, burning eyes, yellow phlegm that I will cough up. These symptoms will last around a week and a half, starting one week from my menstrual cycle up until around 2 days in. My cramps are also unbearable but I don’t know what they should feel like since I haven’t had my period in so long.
So my question is, is this normal? What should I do? What meds can I safely be taking but I’m really taking around 1000mg of Acetaminophen and 800 for ibuprofen twice a day to help with these flu symptoms. I don’t have health insurance right now since I’m in NYC for school and I’m under my mom
I’m so exited I think I did good. I cut them short because my nail lady destroyed my side walls. I prefer oval nails but I want to regrow my nails first. I went for a sheer cat eye since my colored gel comes in Tuesday and I just wanted something other than clear nails haha.
