Hey all -

Simple as the title really… I see the MV7X, MV7, and M7i and they seem to all sound similar, but am curious if there’s any difference in sound that I’m not hearing or any “perks” to buy one or another.

Will be using a Focusrite 2i2 (4th Gen).

Thank you!

Hey all -

Signed up for PF and went to the gym for the first time in forever today. Tired of feeling unhealthy and being overweight. Some people suggested using AI for a workout plan and I got this one - did this today and it definitely kicked my butt… just curious if this is a good routine for a 26 year old overweight dude who just wants to lose some weight and get a bit stronger? Don’t want to waste my time doing it and would rather switch to something else if it’s not optimal…

- 5 min cardio warmup (treadmill, bike, or elliptical - did treadmill today, 2.5mph at 1% incline)

For all of these, 3 sets of 12 with ~60-90 second rest between sets:
- Leg Press
- Chest Press
- Seated Row
- Shoulder Press
- Lat Pulldown
- Leg Curl

- Planking - 3 sets of 30 seconds with ~60 seconds rest

- 10 min cardio finish (treadmill, bike, or elliptical - did treadmill again, 3.5mph at 4% incline)

It felt like I was definitely working hard, just want to make sure this routine is worth following for my goals and it isn’t AI just making stuff up like it sometimes likes to do.

Thanks! :)

Hey all -

I have a bit of a cushion this month and I’m looking to get an audio interface as well as a good XLR microphone.

I will use it for…

- work calls (often)

- gaming/discord (on occasion)

- vocals (maybe - amateur music producer and have considered, but hesitant to record my voice lol)

- recording samples to use in my music (sometimes - maybe I get a cool idea from something in my space and want to record it)

Unfortunately - I rent and live in a studio, so treating the room is not possible and even if it was, seems financially stupid.

There’s also unfortunately a decent amount of background noise as I live directly above a busy road with cars constantly going by. I’ve heard dynamic microphones are better to reject that, so I’ve been leaning that way a bit.

I think from listening to reviews, I prefer a sort of “warmer” sound. I don’t really like that bright, harsh high end. I have a deep voice as well, fwiw.

I’m going to catch hate for this probably, but I’ve liked the sound of K688 and PD200W for a frame of reference… so maybe something along those lines in terms of sound profile… but I know these brands aren’t very good reputation wise and I probably want something more professional anyways like Shure, Rode, Audio Technica (love my M50x)!

Sue me, but I also like the idea of the “podcast looking mic” over a traditional microphone…

Not looking to spend an obscene amount of money as I’m going to be shelling out for the interface too… prefer probably under $200, preferably under $175-$150.

Thanks everyone!
