Does anyone else hate these new treadmills?
Feels like there is a lot of resistance on the belts. Makes it hard to run. Feel like I have weights on my legs.

Just finished my upper body session and caught a great moment in the locker room. While I was tying my shoes, a couple of young guys walked in, hopped in front of the mirror, and started posing.
It was honestly awesome to watch. Before anyone gets weird..no, I wasn’t ogling. I was just struck by the vibe. They were hyping each other up, pointing out specific muscle definition and progress they noticed in one another.
We need more of that. Men building up other men is so important, and seeing that kind of genuine, supportive energy in the gym was the highlight of my day.

Am I crazy, ooooorr....
Do the new plates feel slightly lighter than the old ones? My gym buddy and I both say we feel a difference. Or we could be nuts. They're both 45lb plates 🤷♀️
rep counters on calf press never count for me
Please tell me I'm not the only one who can't get a "full rep" on calf press. I feel like I get pretty good ROM, go slightly into dorsiflexion at the bottom and move the machine about 4 inches. It just rarely counts any reps unless I involve my knees or actually push off the bottom part entirely, which don't feel right. Is this a problem with my form or the machine??
Looking for feedback on my current routine as a beginner of 2 months
My stats (in case they matter): 16, male, 169 lbs, 5’8
My goals are to lose body fat while building muscle, essentially getting lean as hell. I’ve seen some okay gains with this current routine: bicep growth, chest formation, and back development in 2 months
As you can tell this is a purely machine based routine, so I’m open to using dumbells/barbells and cables if necessary.
I’m not sure if this is hitting all muscle groups twice a week but this is my schedule:
Monday: L, Tuesday rest, Wednesday U, Thursday rest, Friday L, Saturday U, Sunday rest. Is this good? Should I change some stuff regarding the exercises I do, etc?

I have this severe belly fat problem, I’m 31 and weigh 250, what exercises can I do to lose it quickly?
It causes me a great deal of stress and I’d like to lose it as soon as possible.

Hello everyone this is my first post here.
I usually go to my gym around the same time after work.
8/10 times that I go, there is an individual who will have 4 or 5 belongings placed on the only torso rotation station, and will remain there for over an hour, most times on their phone, doing a twist here and there.
The individual is extremely aggressive and confrontational about being spoken to and eyeballs anyone who might want to occupy that area, so I just try and avoid, but i really want to use that machine!
What should I do if he's there tomorrow? The staff ive spoken to seem to shrug and say "Idk man, he's using it".

What's the deal with most of y'all not wiping down the equipment?
I swear that a lot of y'all will use a machine for 25 minutes and not wipe it down.
Why do you all not wipe down your machine after using it?

Does my black card work in another country? I had no idea there were Planet Fitness locations here in Mexico City until I saw an ad on the back of a bus. Now I want to check it out while I’m here.

Lock your things!
Was at the 247 Schaumburg location overnight and someone came in around 1am and stole every unlocked locker in the men's locker rooms. Felt bad for the people that left their stuff unlocked. Hard lesson to learn. First thing I did after I joined PF was invest in a lock and it paid for itself in this instance. Unfortunately, the girl at the counter said there was nothing she could do.

I paid $1 down but I was charged $11. I can't find my receipt in my email account so idk I was charged that much. I assumed that was my monthly fee for April. But I also have a separate charge of $25 for April. What is the extra $10 for?
Two months of lifting.. tips??

I’m 16M, 5’8, 169 pounds.
I’ve been lifting for the past two months, and only results I’ve seen is bicep growth. My goal is to get lean in time for my sister’s wedding in August.
I’ve been eating sufficient protein (100-130g daily), watching my calories, cutting sugars, but feel like I haven’t seen a major difference yet. Why is that? Is it because of my routine? Am I just too impatient? Do I need to cut weight first, then lift?

When the massage chair hits just right!! Anyone else?
I had a stressful day at work, followed by a great cardio session. I jumped in a massage chair, heavy knead setting and it hit just so right!!! I wanted to moan, but didn't want to disturb the people around me 😜. Those chairs (and hydrobeds) alone are worth my membership fees.

I’ve seen a fair amount of hate for this activity/ space allotment.
What gives? when I don’t have much time that day and need something to stay sane, it’s a nice way to wake up all the muscles and get a lite sweat going.
I get that sone of you take lifting very seriously and think this is a poor use of resources.
I’m just trying to f feel a little healthier and not lose muscle mass while I drop weight.
The 30 minute circuit is not my ideal. Ideally, I want a lift four or five sets, making sure I have no gas in the tank on this last few reps on the last set, but sometimes I just don’t have time for that.
PF is a cheap gym marketed to everyone. If you feel the PF setups isnt serious enough for you, there’s other places in most areas.

I hope at least the machines get moved to the main floor.
