Task Manager shows [ Microsoft Windows Search Indexer ] as the highest usage of disk resources.

Clicking on any other program has slowed to a crawl.

Any suggestions on how to get around this.

My computer is a Dell Inspiron 3793.

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1065G7 CPU @ 1.30GHz (1.50 GHz)

Installed RAM: 16.0 GB (15.8 GB usable)

Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce MX230 (2 GB) / Intel(R) Iris(R) Plus Graphics (128 MB)

Storage: 567 GB of 1.82 TB used

Edition: Windows 11 Home

Version: 25H2

OS Build: 26200.8457

I'm getting lots of SPAM email from domains like this: lfzgasdpjxwev.us

How does this happen ??

Are they just fake ??

My 94 YO father has locked himself out of his Win10 computer.

Is there a safe way to recover/replace the password ??

I have tried 10 different ways to get past this, but none have worked.
