[1 YoE, UX Designer Intern, UX Designer/Product Designer, United States]

I’m currently applying for UX Designer and Product Designer roles in the United States, mostly remote and entry-level/junior positions.

I recently transitioned into UX from instructional and learning design. I’m currently a UX Designer Intern while completing my MS in Computer Science with an HCI specialization.

I’d appreciate feedback on:

- Whether my resume clearly positions me for UX roles
- If my bullet points sound impactful enough
- Any weak sections or unnecessary content
- Whether my instructional design background helps or hurts my positioning
- ATS/readability issues
- Anything else

I’ve been getting limited interview responses, so I’m trying to figure out what I should improve most.

Thanks in advance for any feedback!

Experience putting smart switches in bathrooms with showers?

Are smart switches like the kasa smart dimmer switch ok to put in bathrooms that are frequently humid due to showers?

Light bulb constantly unresponsive.

I only have one smart bulb but it’s in my room and my bridge is in the basement. Is the distance what’s causing the constant unresponsiveness? I can’t move the bridge because the router is stuck in the basement due to wiring, so would a solution just be to add more Philips devices? I’m new to zigbee which I think this is and just want some clarification, thanks.

Don’t know if this has been asked already, I’m new here. But it worked the first time I tested this automation out (I have it start at 10 pm), but the last few days it starts like normal but then stops running mid-way? Is it a connection issue?

So I'm going to be interviewed by the hiring manager soon for a job. But I already did an hour-long interview with a recruiter where she asked me STAR-based behavioral questions, questions about my previous jobs, and about the tools I used. So I'm a little confused as to what this next interview is going to be about. Does anyone have any ideas?

We all know they would be outraged if a democratic president started a new war, wasted money destroying the White House and building a ballroom in it, raised gas prices due to said war, and increased prices for average Americans across the board directly due to tariffs. So why aren’t they mad about this?

ChatGPT has always been the best at understanding context and instructions that requires making inferences, even before the new image model. It’s also better at remembering details from previous images. However, Gemini is much less restrictive in what images it can generate. Both generate realistic looking images, but ChatGPT has a smooth, polished quality to it that looks like it was taken on an iPhone or slightly edited. Gemini produces images that have slightly less resolution. Anyway, that’s what I’ve noticed so far.

I’ve noticed when someone else turns off the fan in the bathroom, the lights in my bedroom do a brief brighter-than-normal pulse before returning to original brightness. They are dimmable bulbs which I like but have heard are more sensitive to quick changes in voltage. Are there any simple ways to fix this? Besides changing the bulbs. Thanks.

Pretty sure this is a no neutral switch. I was trying to install a no-neutral smart switch and thought the line (hot) wire was black and the load was white. But the smart switch was unresponsive when I turned the power back on. Could it be possible that the wire coloring is actually reversed? If so, then why? I’m just afraid to switch the wiring when installing in case things go wrong.
