i’m honestly loving sora 2 but i know the trends as well as you do.. what do you think?
Hi, like everybody else, loved Sora and creating on there as it helped ease the stress of life making funny video but now it's gone, where else can i make them as the sora sample generator bit the dust and that had worked for a while until it got shut down too. Where can we go for free internet video creating website or app? Is there somewhere with free generation for videos on there?
I'm part of the team working on the Open Source ArtCraft controllable film engine (link to Github in comments).
It's an image and video model aggregator like Higgs or Magnific, but comes with a Desktop app written in Rust. It has a lot of additional features that allow you to structurally pose and design your shots in 3D or 2D.
But perhaps most importantly, the desktop version of ArtCraft lets you bring your own API keys and subscriptions. You can add FAL keys, login with ChatGPT, use any of your subscriptions.
We're doing research on video-to-video ControlNets to let you precisely control the camera and movement, and we'll have that available in the app soon.
We're building an in-app router to generate each model at the cheapest available source. It's still a work in progress, but if you're a developer or just want to watch our progress, we'd love to have you join.
All of this is available on Github to download!

What if Gemini Omni creates third-party generated content?
Is it possible or impossible?
What IA can we use to replace soraAI?
Written by me, performance by rapper, beat by producer, had to use ai for video
Anyone using the Sora2 or Seedance 2 APIs has probably noticed that the face verification system all too often blocks an image of the reference subject simply because the face is in the foreground and facing forward, which could make it a potential target for deepfakes.
The Seedance 2 algorithm is particularly strict about this, but there’s a handy trick you can use to attach all the photos of subjects that the system usually won’t accept.
To bypass the blocking system, simply take a photo of the subject with rectangular bands, as I’ve tested (use Gemini or another tool to create this effect with your reference photos).
From my personal testing in Seedance 2, the system seems to work 100% of the time, so I’m satisfied.
For Sora2’s Api I also had to add an X to the person’s eye in addition to the bands and in the end the method worked beautifully. (See photo below )
In the text prompt, you just need to specify to start the scene by removing the bands from the subject.
Online, I’ve seen people trying to bypass the system by creating a collage of separate facial features, but that always carries the risk that the algorithm won’t preserve the exact facial features, whereas with my method, it’s perfect.
Let me know how it goes.
I’m using Seedance 2 and Sora2 for free via the KREA app on iOS. (Only the mobile version allows you to generate for free.) Not yet for Android devices..

For those who saw Sora as a collaborative and social experience, or as a place to observe the stranger, more ritualized generations people were making, has anyone found anything similar?
I really miss Sora. I found it genuinely enlightening to see what people were creating, experimenting with, and discovering there.
Where did you all go for that same kind of experience, if such a place exists?
Disclosure: founder of Amoura.io, a swipe-based AI dating simulator. Sharing this here because Sora was genuinely foundational to what we built and I wanted to give it a proper send-off with the community that understands it best.
When Sora was available we used it as a character generation base in a way that I haven't seen many people talk about. The workflow wasn't just text-to-video. We were using Sora to establish the core identity of a character. The face, the way she carried herself, the micro-expressions that made her feel like a real person rather than a generated image. Sora had something in its motion rendering that just locked identity in a way that felt different. Once we had a strong base clip, many of our characters ended up with full multi-shot consistency across different settings and lighting because Sora had already done the identity anchoring.
From there we'd sometimes layer in NanoBananaPro. The combination worked really well — Sora for the living, breathing identity foundation, NanoBananaPro to generate the full photo set with the same character locked in. The result was characters that felt genuinely consistent across dozens of shots. Not the same pose, same lighting, same expression. The same person across actually different moments.
The video shows how that output lives in the app: swiping through characters, the variety across the catalog, a closer look at what consistency across multiple shots actually looks like, and then what happens when a conversation actually builds into something... which is ultimately what all of it was for.
Example Sora base prompts approach:
compact digicam photo with a little flash bounce on nearby surfaces, (no logo/no trademarks) SAME EXACT WOMAN FROM THE REFERENCE PHOTO wearing a slate blue puffer vest over burgundy scrubs, black tapered trousers, navy mesh trainers, and an insulated coffee tumbler, near the hand-sanitizer stand in an urgent care lobby corner, with a receipt bin tucked below the counter; between one errand and the next, pressing the coffee lid down with one thumb, shot from hip height at the end of the counter, a slightly skeptical little smile, headlights smearing across the garage wall, 9:16
smartphone candid with uneven indoor color temperature and slight shake, (no logo/no trademarks) SAME EXACT WOMAN FROM THE REFERENCE PHOTO wearing a white eyelet blouse over a faded peach henley, soft brown corduroy shorts, scuffed tan cowboy boots, and a straw sun hat tucked under one arm, at the cake knife end of a crowded dining room sideboard, with a half-cleared plate still on the table edge; just after handing something across the table, catching a friend’s comment from the edge of the group, shot from a few feet away at bar height with glasses blurred in the foreground, a quiet end-of-day expression, the room light catching the gloss of a spilled drink spot, 9:16
Sometimes even tighter prompts would be more effective:
Cinematic close-up smartphone portrait of a 28-year-old woman, natural light from a window, slight involuntary movement, breathing, micro-expressions, documentary style, handheld feel, not posed, not performed. Identity established, nothing else happening.
We found that the more we asked Sora to do, the more it would drift. Minimal motion, identity-first, let the face do the work.
Really going to miss having it in the toolkit. It helped us build something we're proud of and I don't think we could have gotten here as fast without it.
With that said let us know what you think of the quality and we'd love to see what this community has tried with character consistancy!
